Altstadtbrasserie - Carta

The staff had very much to do but took their time to make everyone feel welcome. Delicious pasta and the ribs were really good!

A nice restaurant with stabil food and nice interior. A bit slow service. The snitzel was really good. The tortellini was good, but norhing special.

I've been to this brasserie many times and like the food and the atmosphere. The service sometimes lack interest in caring about the guests. If not so, I'd give it five 'stars'. Ver carta

We ate there 4 times. Each time was lovely. The wait staff was patient & helpful as we had difficulty translating the menu. The outdoor seating was quite nice. We enjoyed to good weather sitting there having a beer with a great meal. Evening we enjoyed the inside because of the great bar and friendly locals.

We checked tripadvisor and found very positive feedback about this place. But we were very disappointed today. We ordered the food and drinks and had to wait for 15 mins to get our drinks and then 50 mins for the food. I have no idea why it took so much time, but result was even worse that we expected. Fish was terrible. It looks like they put half a can of ketchup to my plate. Don't recommend to visit this place..

I enjoyed a delicious lunch on the terrace of Altstadtbrasserie in the small town of Sassnitz. A perfect place to stop and to pause on your tour on the island of Rügen The Brasserie has an nice terrace on a square. The "toast Brasserie" was delicious. As already described in other reviews, this restaurant has ONE problem, the service is very slow. Can not judge on the restaurant atmosphere; the weather was too good for having lunch indoor. Third restaurant tried in Sassnitz and by far the best in food quality, cooking and presentation. We selected the asparagus menu as white asparagus in very much in season here. I had it with a steak and my partner with a salmon fillet. Both were well cooked without being over done and they were nicely garnished with herbs and served with new potatoes. All very palatable.We had ice cream with seasonable fruit to follow. Strawberries, raspberries and nectarines all in season, bananas are never out of season.Overall far superior to our two previous meals out in Sassnitz.

I have to admit, so far i think its the salad place i had in germany so far, and i eat out a lot. We had two salads, the hirtensalad and bresserie salat. while the latter were a bit more simple tast, but but were well presented, both had some fruits inside that added to the whole mix of tastes. We also had a spragel soup. I took it for a try. Was not bad, im not an asparagus guybut i did finish the soup and had a good time.The service was good and i think that the place chargea less that equivalent places. Perhaps because its a bit hidden in the city.Worth sitting there. Recommend

Clean, professional pub type of bistro with professional cooking standard and fair prices. The environment is relaxed and casual, both locals and tourists seem to be frequent guests. Nice, friendly and caring staff. If you are looking for a nice place for a few drinks with music or relaxed traditional german dinner, just go for it. Limited parking spots seem available in front of the restaurant. The cook servers a variety if different fish and steaks as well as seasonal traditional German dishes. A normal dinner for 2 with drinks and food damages your pockets with about 30 Euros +/-, it of course depends on the number of drinks....
