Lovely fresh food and excellent staff. Good vegan options too. Been a few times now with friends and family and every time it's been excellent!

Went in to have a drink and a snack. Soft drink, plus a tea. Topped off with a couple of Ice Creams. Lovely and very cheap. Would certainly recommend

The Rothesay hotel food wasn’t great so someone suggested Ambience opposite the Ferry port. This Bistro is all heart with a clear passion for simple but excellent food on a seasonal menu.

The food at this unassuming bistro is amazing! The menu is great and the prices are very reasonable. The service is quick and they are also dog friendly. What's not to love about this place?!

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Ambience. The menu offered unique choices and each dish we ordered was outstanding. The prices were reasonable too. We will definitely return to Ambience the next time we are in Rothesay!

Can recommend this cafe/restaurant in the most glowing terms. The staff were very welcoming when I popped in to check the menu and reserve a table for an evening meal. The service was excellent and the choice of drinks and food was great. There was a lovely friendly atmosphere and my lentil soup and haddock with a mustard sauce were outstanding.

Ambience is a wonderful little bistro with excellent service and truly amazing food. I highly recommend trying the seafood pizza - it's a must! My wife thoroughly enjoyed the baked potato with steak from the steak pie. The service was lovely and the chef was friendly. We will definitely be returning to Ambience the next time we visit the Isle of Bute. I suggest booking in advance as it can get quite busy - we were lucky to snag the last available table. Ver carta
