"I live near this place and I had about 3 times eaten and had about 10 times more ripped out. eating is very good and I like the place, the atmosphere and the people who run it. it is operated with a small number of kitchen occupations, and it is true that sometimes it can be a bit slow when busy. However, eating is really good, and the menu (select) is very comprehensive with simple menu and simple price/order system. takeaway timings are very good. always ready when I arrive, just like they say. on time and pipe hot in excellent maintainers. they cannot be removed from the possibility of slow service. often this place is the only restaurant in the opposite open. they do their little bit and it is a more pleasant place to sit and wait (in or outside.) I would be devastating if they were closed or scaled down. enjoy this place and leave them enough time for a relaxed culinary experience. also here the quality and the value of the food is very good."

to access an Asian kitchen in the south france is fantastic, take or sit, ideal for a quick eating at the return of the re-enactment, they try the ribs

The open kitchen shows how freshly cooked the food is here. Have the spring rolls as a starter, but not to many or you could spoil the excellent mains. We had curry and it was light but full of flavour. 2 starters, 2 mains, 2...sides and 2 wines for under 40 euro!

an interesting menu with a combination of Chinese and Vietnamese food. the food was delicious - the Vietnamese spring rolls were very good. the wall paintings on the walls were very recognizable as the inner city of hanoi. in the good weather months there are tables outside to eat, we. here twice during our stay in the opposite.

great delicious Asian cuisine in a picturesque restaurant. the food was fresh and delicious. the service was fantastic and the staff was very pleased to explain their menu in English to the best of their ability. the restaurant is small, so good idea to book. we went there. a week at night and it was very popular. highly recommended.

The restaurant is as good as ever, fine choice of meals which you can see being prepared. Service with a smile, quick without being rushed. Delicious flavours. Nice local wine sake, and 2 different beers as in Chinese and Vietnamese I really do...not understand folks drining European beer here!! ATTENTION credit debit cards are not accepted cask only 0 there are 4 cashpoints within 70 metres of the restaurant so no problem

After a trip around the market on Saturday, went here for lunch. The menu was in English as well as French although that became misleading. I and two friends had the 16€ set meal for lunch. I ordered crispy beef starter but received savoury samosa...style triangles with a sweet chilli dip...? My caramel pork and noodles wasn’t unpleasant but it was cool, not hot, as were my ‘samosas’, and the meat was dry. The ‘nougat’ desert turned out to be just that, six cubes of nougat and peanut brittle in sesame seeds ... random. It was fine and a change to find ‘Vietnamese??’ food in France, but it could have been so much better!

We reached Quillan late in the evening on a Saturday and this was the only place open in the vicinity at 9.30 PM. We ordered Thai spring rolls for appetizers, Prawns curry wok, Chicken five spice wok and Noodles for entrees. We loved all the...dishes served in large portions with the Prawns curry being our favorite. It was light, the curry flavor was tasty and strong and the ingredients fresh. The five spices wok was interesting and saucey. The entire dinner costed us around 26 euros. If you are visiting or traveling via Quillan, we recommend this cosy place as a pit stop for your lunch/dinner. We didn’t expect it to be this good, hence a thumbs up!

"This little bistro has recently changed hands: a couple of weeks ago I passed by to see it full to the brim which was very good to see as the previous incarnation was tired and not great at all. So yesterday I went for a...lunch, a simple menu of 5 or so starters, mains and puds. I wanted to like it very much but to be blunt, the food was pretty awful. Tomato and Mozzarella was old cheese, icy tomatoes and watery salad that had mixed with the vinaigrette. The main course of Pork in mustard sauce, a classic of cooking. Sadly accompanied by penne pasta which was unseasoned, and unadorned, and some aubergine. It was just not great. How much better it would have been to have mashed or creamed potatoes and perhaps savoy cabbage with bacon, then you would have a classic bistro dish. I had a little conversation with Nathalie as she is the new patronne, and I wished her well, as its a really nice room, her staff were pleasant and it would be really nice to have an alternative to the Galerie which is the best place in town, consistently good though completely different in price and the Plantenet which is also a busy, friendly consistently good enough place. But I fear if this is going to be the standard, her restaurant may struggle. I hate criticizing restaurants because I've done it myself for ten years and its a tough tough business. But you have to at least get the food right. Its not the only thing, ambiance, position, staff, company, many many things go into making a good restaurant. But sadly, the food was mediocre at best. The coffee was awful, watery and poor. With a quarter pichet of Merlot it was 20 Euros. Not at fortune its true, but they need to sort themselves out or this particular re-working of the Cafe au Gare will not last long."
