After a week in Perigord for daughter Avery's opera program, our family of three was taking the "less traveled road" eastward to Gstaad. Having found nowhere to eat dinner in Giat, we were fortunate to stumble across this tiny and wonderful establishment. It was Friday and they were serving a reservations-only menu fixe, and though they were sold out of the night's menu, they welcomed us warmly, serving us the best sandwiches of our vacation! Next time in France we will certainly visit this petite auberge to sample their finer culinary treats! Ver carta

Love the place, not that large and struggles to seat 20 persons with even the Bar filling up lunchtimes with workers looking to fill up.At 14euro a head including wine, you get a starter,main,cheese board,desert and I am not sure if the coffee is also included.We go once a month and I have to say that the Owners are always there to welcome everyone into their restaurant.They have special weekend and evening meals, where you can feast on frogs legs until your hearts content, if you have such a desire.Do not arrive after 12 noon if you want a seat and even then be prepared to dine at the Bar if the Pompiers (firemen) are there on mass having their outing.This is a local gem for those who can f...

“The biologist passes, the frog remains,” said Jean Rostand, who had certainly not been greedy to come to lunch in this beautiful address of Puy-De-Dôme. From the beginning of the day to the dessert it is in the crusting of our taste buds finely guided by the advice of the boss that we have lunch. For me this smoke first a macedoin of vegetables as an entry in matter. While the 3 margoulins that used to serve me as taboo buddies tried to a salmon terrine and a goat leaf reminding the hum of the road.
