"Being local, this a very convenient restaurant for us to visit. Hence we have eaten here many times. This visit we had a superb lunch and thought it correct to submit a fresh review.Despite being just before Christmas when families perhaps have other priorities, the restaurant was pretty full. Service was attentive and swift as usual but not so rapid as to feel hurried. Presentation was excellent for each course and the tastes outstanding. Régis still adheres to the more traditional style of French cooking and there will certainly be no complaints on portion size or quality, each element of every dish being perfectly judged. The brochette of noix st, jaques with prawns was enhanced by the pond of bisque below and the pintardeau was the nicest I have tasted in several years. The cheese chariot provided a wide choice although it appears the cheeses had only just come out of hibernation being rather cold.Even the Grand Marnier soufflé was well done although the mix was rather enthusiastic as it more than filled the ramekin!The wine list is good but not exceptional with, as might be expected, a bias to Burgundian bottles.Meal and wine both very well priced!Would we go again? An unequivocal 'YES'.P.S. Good to hear some other British diners enjoying their meal despite the language difficulties."

Superb provincial restaurant in a converted building that appears to have been a bakery. Secluded, but well worth searching for at the peak of an ancient hill town.

We had lunch here on a lovely sunny day out on the terrace - by the road side with the trucks going by. The food was a clear step up from the museum cafeteria (which we just couldn't do - looked so industrial), had cold beer and the food satisfied our hunger. We were rushed for time so we didn't have the time to go further a field and find something charming/yummy etc which we would have done otherwise

Superb cuisine from a true master chef served in a comfortable, inviting setting by a delightful and helpful server. This was literally the best beef I have ever tasted, and each dish prepared for our party of six was equally amazing. Of the many remarkable restaurants we have enjoyed on this trip, this was by far the most extraordinary. Highly recommended. The chef's inventiveness with local herbs, vegetables, and meats is beyond compare.

We have been here a number of times over the past 5 years (we are American and visit Burgundy 1-2 wks. per year). We always enjoy going here. The cuisine is always delicious and interesting while including local specialties. The welcome and service are top notch for the type of restaurant. One cannot beat the prices. Even our (European) friends who are very price conscious were impressed by the quality for the price! In sum, one of the best possible restaurants and as far as we know the only one of this type in the region. You have to travel a long distance to find similar meals (Dijon, Beaune, Saulieu) and then at much higher prices. Ver carta

We found this restaurant by chance at the very last minute, and initially thought 35 euros for the set menu was a little steep, but by the end of the meal, we'd changed our minds. The three-course meal was accompanied by an amuse-bouche and little tartlets after dessert, making it great value.On top of that, the service was impeccable (if little on the slow side) and the waiter actually came to clean the crumbs off our table before dessert was brought out.Can't fault food quality and presentation, it was fresh, beautifully presented and tasted really good.The ambiance of the restaurant is very charming, although the chamber acoustics meant it was difficult for my partner and I to have a conv...

Sunday lunch for 4 adults in May 2016; at first glance the menu seemed more limited than is often available in France. The more economical menu isn't available at peak times. However, this wasn't detrimental to our party: We enjoyed a flavourful amuse-bouche, a lobster dish, st jacques and magret de canard followed by a strawberry eclair. All the dishes were superb (although the st jacques wasn't very substantial) and cooked to a very high standard. "Résidant dans la ville pour 3 jours, j'ai pris les soirées étapes dans cet hôtel restaurant. Personne pour m'accueillir lors de mon arrivée le premier soir (arrivée à 18h30). Un message sur la porte avec 2 numéros de téléphone portable à contacter en cas d'absence. J'appelle le premier numéro, une personne décroche puis la conversation se coupe. J'essaie de t'appeler, je tombe sur le répondeur en boucle. Je tente d'appeler le 2ème numéro, ça sonne dans le vide...Finalement j'attends dans le froid, un cuisinier arrive et m'indique ma chambre.J'arrive dans la chambre, 2 lits 1 personne alors que j'avais demandé un grand lit par téléphone lors de ma réservation. Et les couvre lit dans un état pitoyable (cf les photos en pièce jointe).Je trouve des toiles de poussière autour des luminaires et dans les coins de la chambre. Un mobilier très sommaire.Pendant mes 3 jours, aucun drap ou taie d'oreiller ou serviette ou tapis de bain changé. Depuis le départ, trace de sang sur l'oreiller et la serviette... Ça ne dérange pas la femme de chambre visiblement.Sur mes 3 repas, 1 seul était vraiment bon. Je vous passe les frites froides et la ratatouille surgelée à peine tiède...La vue de la chambre sur les poubelles du restaurant et le cendrier naturel (directement dans le lopin de terre devant la fenêtre) mélangeant mégots de cigarettes et coquilles d'oeufs Un séjour plus que médiocre dans cet établissement."
