Had a lovely meal here. Staff were fantastic and the price was very reasonable. If your on Derbyshire between Baslow and Chesterfield, pay them a visit.

Nice place.... lovely friendly staff.. excellent veg trimmings.. roast beef disappointing... very fatty... Lamb was better. Good value for money... Plenty of room between tables... Good for disabled access. Nice garden area...

as a family we go every Sunday morning to the early part of the highway man. it is amazing, the personal is so friendly and helpful. very clean and light. modern furnishings, comfortable seating areas. large parking space and great view. we recommend this device 100% Ver carta

The dining experience was lovely, accompanied by attentive service. The menu isn't as extensive as it was prior to COVID (missing some popular starter dishes), and a few items were unavailable due to issues currently impacting many restaurants. However, this did not affect the quality of our food.

My family and I are here 3 times in late May 2022. We throughly enjoyed each meal which was cooked to perfection and well presented. The staff were friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble for them. The restaurant had a good standard of decoration and was clean and well presented. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant .

We actually broke down here in our campervan, while waiting for recovery had some time to spare so had a lovely cold pint. The place was spotless nicely decorated. The food appeared to be coming out the kitchen at a decent rate looks amazing. Plenty of outdoor tables at the front rear garden. The staff were very friendly efficient. We are from North Wales and came to visit family in the area, so we decided to catch up at this pub. Although there weren't enough seats for all nine of us, our waitress Denise was very attentive and ensured that we were comfortable throughout our visit. Our orders were taken quickly, and the food arrived shortly after. Everyone enjoyed the meals, which were all of excellent quality. I particularly loved my Dipper burger and chocolate brownie—they were delicious. This is pub food done right! The space was very clean, with high-quality fixtures. I would definitely recommend this place, as the staff is friendly and the food is great.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant recently! While we were shopping in the area, we decided to stop for lunch at the Highwayman. The hostess was welcoming and friendly, and she was especially patient with our children when it came time to order (we had a young eater and some nervous teenagers). She even accommodated us with a dish that wasn’t explicitly on the menu. The service was efficient, and the place was very clean! The food was truly delicious; however, I thought the chips could have been cooked a bit more, as I personally prefer them soft and fluffy in the center. Nevertheless, they were still very tasty.
