Bird In Hand - Carta

I have visited the Bird In Hand a few times, most recently in March. The food is always tasty and the atmosphere in the pub is great. It is especially nice in the summer, where you can sit outside and look over the fields.

visited Mai-Tages-Bank Holiday on the hopfen. the employees are very friendly and helpful and have a table despite very busy. eating absolutely tasty was recommended, there was a wait, but her eating was presented in an unely wise. beautiful friendly atmosphere is getting back.

The restaurant offers delicious pub fare with friendly service, and a bonus free minibus from our accommodation. Although there was a bit of a wait for our food, the great deal on cocktails helped pass the time. The restaurant provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere with very helpful staff. The food may take around 45 minutes to arrive, but it is worth the wait as it is of excellent quality. The portion sizes are large, possibly too large for some customers who do not like wasting food. The cod and Cottage pie were both superb, with the Cottage pie being enough to serve four people.

visited for a quick to eat. it was very busy when we arrived (end of the lunch service at 2:30 a.m.) and was asked if we were happy to sit in the bar area we were. we placed our order. we waited for an hour to eat, even if we disappeared twice. eating is nice, but we should not see people who ordered after we get, eat and pay the bill before we even get our food. the personal was very nice, but it was clear that they had committed to taking too many people.

Visited with my daughter, and is a regular of ours. The food is usually very good albeit a bit expensive. I had the 16 oz gammon which was very nice and no complaints, however my daughter had the Chicken Tikka curry and it was not...good. It was obviously a frozen meal heated up given the consistency of the chicken… the rice was packet microwaved as was the naan bread and the poppadom. The only fresh item on the plate were the chips. I would not recommend this dish. It cost nearly £13 !! Staff were excellent and the premises was clean. We will be back but will give the curry(ies) a miss! Ver carta

Four of us came early evening Monday. Lovely atmosphere and greeted immediately. Drinks came quickly. Only one had a starter which was pork belly and was very tasty. Not a long wait for mains, 3 of us had steak and ale pie and one had...lasagne. Unfortunately the lasagne was probably the driest I’ve ever seen, there seemed to be no sauce whatsoever and was more like dry mince on toast!!!! My son in law said it was tasty nevertheless. The pie however was spectacular, I love steak and ale pie and I’m very fussy, it was amazing, loads of tender steak filling and delicious, the chips were yummy and although I wanted to finish every bit, I couldn’t, lovely sized portion. 2 had cheesecake for dess...

my family and I celebrated my birthday there, in their private room on the 1st floor. there were 17 of us, but it could have been more comfortable if necessary. both the standard of the service and the food was excellent, but what came out for me. was their willingness to go this extra mile to make sure we were happy. both I and my children have nutritional requirements, plus the additional complication that my children are autistic and have a lot of sensory needs. when I called to organize our eating and sitting things, they were really happy to take us, and nothing was too much annoyed. what meant that we could not only enjoy the nice food (thanks to the chef), but the children were quiet...

Went today for Mother’s Day, when we got there the place was absolutely packed took about 10minutes for us to be seated. Once we sat down the waitress was very friendly and took our drinks orders and food orders. Food was amazing but place is...terribly managed. Online they had said there will be 2 courses available for Mother’s Day for £16.95 and at the top it said there will be carvery. However, under the “two course for £16.95 it said you can chose from a starter main or main desert and did not specify that the original menu is not included in this deal.
