"In an area we have driven past for years there is a little gem. The Hotel Du Vin, Rother Street, bistro, bar and outside dining. On the lookout for a Christmas lunch venue, we thought we would try their Sunday lunch, we sat at window table overlooking the outdoor space, which we hope to try on a warmer day. There is a set menu of 2 or 3 courses, starters being a buffet style on the ‘French Market Table’, offers on display were appetising and were found to be very tasty. Mains and dessert being equally tasty and hot, their apple crumble and custard being the best yet. Coffee and tea was taken in the lounge area. The staff were very efficient and attentive throughout. Yes it’s on our Christmas list. Give it a try!"

My wife and I had a fantastic meal. The tenderloin was perfectly cooked and my wife’s salad was delicious. The service was also great without too much intrusion. Highly recommend!

Food was of a very high standard and really good value on the hotel package we were on. Surroundings very stylish and service excellent, particularly Laura who looked after us (including our little one) very well.

in the last year with my partner a food was taken and was very impressed. beautiful meal, attentive staff. clean and intelligent customers. no tattoos, baseball caps or these stupid shorts with the side pockets. what a refreshing change.

We stayed over at Hotel du Vin in Stratford and had a lovely breakfast in the morning. Mary, our server, was absolutely excellent- smiling, friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. The cold breakfast buffet was very fresh and very well presented, and frequently refilled so everything was plentiful. The cooked breakfast options were cooked to order , very speedily, and were of a very high quality. Definitely worth a visit- great, relaxed , high quality experience.
