"Restaurant located in main concourse of main Zurich rail station entrance directly under the huge suspended funky angel. Table service with around a dozen different dishes. Service was quick, beer good and fresh asparagus with a Hollandaise sauce was delicious with an accompanying plate of...smoked ham (like a Spanish iberico jamon). Very traditional original decor well renovated. Definitely worth a visit for a quick meal and/or a beer at start or end of a train journey for fantastic connections from Zurich."

I have ordered callbshratwurst with rösti, it was the worst fried rösti I have ever eaten. Very little crust inside everything still moist and oily. never again this menu. bier selection for it very good! Ver carta

we were very disappointed, we were all happy to have a fine beer. but unfortunately the service did not clean the table, was completely unfriendly and uncomprehensible and did not bring a part of the order. next time, we'd rather go to the imagine.

I have given this restaurant 3 opportunities due to its convenient location. All 3 have been a disappointment due to the quality of the service. Today, four other tables got served with drinks food after my arrival. The server got angry when I followed...up on my cappuccino after 35 minutes. It’s been 45 minutes now and no cappuccino in sight! I will not be returning and cannot recommend it.

Great food on the move. I had the liver which was amazing! Get a pretzel and a beer while you’re here also. My kids loved the burgers. It’s one of the only places around that’s open on Sundays, and I was delightfully surprised at the...quality and service. No bull$#it in this place. It’s a 200+ year old train station and diner style service. Stop giving this place a low rating because you’re looking for fine dining! Ver carta

looks great, but this device. nix a lot. with great hunger I decided again for real Swiss cuisine. service was friendly and relatiw fast depending on hour but when I got my meat cheese with potato salad I saw more teller than content. with a small beer, the 25th franc cost me. so price/performance bad. Otherwise, the reataurant is well run but the small portions that there are unfortunately I will no longer visit. a bratwurst with gurke will not cost so much!

We had a quick lunch here and waited for a train. The food was expensive, as could be expected in Switzerland. However, the waiter who was assigned to our table was really amazingly rude. At first he decided to order us (and of course) several... add-ons to the hamburger. When it was time for the bill and saw that we were charged extra for things we had never asked, he became incredibly irate and aggressive – almost violently so. We were shocked. In no case will we visit Brasserie Federal.

"My recent visit to Edi's Pizzeria in downtown Zurich was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that truly set the tone for the entire experience. First and foremost, I must commend the staff for their exceptional service. Every member of the team was not only friendly but also incredibly attentive, ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of perfection. "This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
