"Last weekend was originally planned to honour a Greek in the surrounding area. In the short term it was planned. It should be inner-city and German. On the way there were five adult people who had reserved seats a few days before. Very normal, without special events. People who appreciate good food as well as a well-kept beer. For all of us there is a cozy environment for eating in peace. So it happened that we met before the place at the agreed time at 7:00 on Saturday night. And before the entrance of the place the first confusion: today closed from 9pm! With hunger, the expectation of a beautiful evening with more than one gang and question mark in the eyes. We're entering the place. Sudden silence from the group at the entrance right. Who doesn't know them, the exaggerated situations in films when the chapel fades, the guests stare at the new arrivals and, after a certain time, raises the gem? Here only the chapel missed.... We were led by a friendly lady to our place. In the midst of zig pendulum clocks, which draw attention to themselves with their TickTick. In arched spaces of the ancient style; it is an ancient, historical building on the edge of the old town of Coburg, no wonders of light are expected. It's stupid, almost post-apocalyptic. The maps were distributed very quickly to us. I would like to note that I was on the internet for free looking for a page of the restaurant. I felt against it, reviews that could not be more different and threw me into a changing bath of feelings. Also the search on Facebook was only crowned by a partial success: the reference to the website leads a dead link to the portal restaurant criticism that has been exhibited for a long time. And among us, if I had seen the prices invoked, I would have hired a veto. There are only two possibilities in our region: it is either very much on the plate, rather simple. Or it's a normal portion, very high for that. The readout on the Internet has unfortunately caused me to fear the first. So it came that we are forgiven for giving me approximate prices, because we have not received partial invoices. as follows: Grill plate about 19 Euro Schnitzel ala Chef ca. 15 Euro Cordon bleu ca. 15 Euro Schnitzel with Senf Meerrettich Panierung ???? € The beverage prices were probably what is currently considered to be suitable for tourists in Coburg. It took some time to get our food to the table. But freshly prepared and hot at least in my case. At first there was a small tray with the associated supplements. It was a salad and fries with me. The salad exactly as I like it. Raw food, perfectly seasoned, I think I had a hint of garlic with the carrots. No matter, great. The pommes nice crispy, not too sharp, great. One of the scavengers with mustard and horseradish. Disillusion with the ladies who chose that. A breakdown that was taken together twice as thick as the carving meat itself. The outer part crispy, the closer to the carving meat, the more soy. Also the certain sharpness derived from the description in the map and desired was lost. So the fight against a meat panning melange began, which was not to win. It was one of the terms that fell. The lady on the right side of me then also complained about a proper heartburn. On the other hand, the potato salad, also the radish, was very enjoyable, and all those who tried it were agreed. A unanimous opinion of the two women eating this dish: no more! The grill plate for 19 euros. We call in memory (yes, I know you don't compare SOLL anymore, but I do that anyway, cry... that 19 euros were almost 38 DM. Weapons came to the table. Meaky, more, less tanned potatoes that float in the frying oil. With a taste of oil. This was also said to the service lady while serving, which was acknowledged with a shoulder streak. It was extremely striking with the bacon beans. I don't know how and why, but also these are swung in fat. If a very good eater and connoisseur of matter give up voluntarily beforehand (in another place we left ourselves down to dessert.... then that means nothing good. One day after that, he still has the feeling in the stomach area to have done nothing good to his stomach. The Schnitzel ala chief of my accompaniment consisted of the following parts: Panten pork, mushroom sauce, potato roast and salad. Salad and Rösti very tasty, a great sauce and a very thin scavenger, which has also been framed here by a breakdown in a total of almost three times in strength. Here too was too much on the plate. One or two euros less and an appropriate amount, even without an empty stomach, would be better. My cordon bleu. Actually, not bad, I just wished a slightly more powerful cheese here, other customers would prefer it mildly. So, no lack. Pommes and salad were perfect, my panning was quite thin and crispy until the end. So I was lucky. Besides: my portion was too big. Who stands on XXXL portions will be happy here. The toilets can be reached as well as the restaurant. To the ambience... For guests who need an experience excellent. The place speaks with its design and probably also with the map the people who visit Coburg as tourists. And the many. Unfortunately, not what could have been due to the fact that we felt under time pressure. A small note on the phone when booking and days later when the reservation was increased would have led us to postpone the visit by a week. So remains in memory: hot, greasy, uncomfortable (by the loudly ticking and all the other(! going, partly sounding watches . Clearly, it is called BratwurstGLÖCKCHEN, but you don't have to overdo it either. Our conclusion: No more... You can love it or hate it, there won't be much in between."

Uriges Ambiente mit einem fränkischen Original als Bedienung/Chef. Sind mittlerweile Stammkunden und freuen uns immer auf unseren wöchentlichen Besuch. Die Qualität ist immer gleichbleibend top und wir wurden bei unseren mittlerweilen 25 Besuchen noch nie enttäuscht....IMMER EINEN BESUCH WERT !!!

Waren schon eine Ewigkeit nicht mehr in Coburg essen und ich habe lange überlegt, wohin ich meine Familie zu meinem Geburtstag einladen soll.....Hab mit diesem Restaurant wohl eine gute Entscheidung getroffenDas beste Zigeunerschnitzel, dasich bisher gegessen habe. Auch Das Steak und der Fleischteller sindsuper !Man sollte aber auf die großen Portionen gefasst sein.Der Wirt ist ein uriger Typ ,das Ambiente urig fränkisch.Würde ich immer empfehlen. Ver carta

Gehe hier relativ oft her, auch mit meiner 8-jährigem Tochter. Wer ehrliches, sehr schmackhaftes und nicht überteuertes fränkisches Essen sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Sonntags Mittags und Donnerstags Abends sind die Braten und Haxen bzw. Schäufele der Hammer, abends sind die Schnitzel und das Rumpsteak zu empfehlen. Und vor kurzem hatte ich den besten Hasen meines Lebens, den es aber leider nicht so oft gibt. Die Portionen sind fränkisch, also am Besten hungrig kommen.

"On the day before Christmas Eve I still hadn't had all Christmas gifts together and so I had to go back to Coburg city centre. I had planned to take my lunch in Maccaroni. The Maccaroni is a prestigious Italian in Coburg, who had also rated our valued writer colleague Huck at his Coburg visit with 5 stars. I had never visited the Maccaroni before and will not be able to visit it anymore, as the Maccaroni closes its doors at the end of 2015. When I stood in front of the Maccaroni, I became aware of a note at the entrance that the Maccaroni had opened in the evening, unlike usual. And so I had to redispose. The relatively new Asian fell in the pedestrian zone, in the Steinweg. During the day the Steinweg is a shopping, but at night Coburg's Party Mile No. 1. The Asian snack was recently recommended by a buddy. This was twice a guest there, but both times only had the Sauer Scharf soup, more familiar to me under the name of Beijing soup, at the price of 2.50 euros. According to him the best soup he could ever enjoy at an Asian. The Asia Inn makes a relatively unspectacular impression from the outside. The action courts were attached to the large glass front. I especially spoke to the dish A5 on crispy duck on Brat noodles or Brat rice, with sweet-saur sauce at the price 6.50 euros. For an additional euro, you could upgrade your action dish with a 0.2L soft drink. When I looked inside wafr it was around 12.15 hrs the Asia Inn was completely empty. I decided to keep an eye out for presenters beforehand in a nearby clothing business. After a maximum of 20 minutes I returned to the Asia Inn and was amazed. The place with an estimated 40 seats was completely occupied up to a table for 2 persons. Then I took this free table in a fitting by hanging my jacket over the chair rest. Then I had to move to the safe, because only there you can place your order. And there I had to pay. The Asian woman behind the vault greeted me kindly and asked for my food request. I had already made my choice in advance. On request, I chose the Brat noodles as a supplement and chose a Cola as a drink. Then I was allowed to take a seat as the food was taken to the guest's table. While I was waiting, I watched the three chefs a little while working. Because the Asia Inn has an open kitchen. Despite this, it smells very pleasant in the restaurant and not according to the typical snack smell. Furthermore, the restaurant is very bright and modern, which is due to the fact that the Asia Inn only exists a short year. I liked the facility. Cleanliness in the guest room was also top, I didn't pick up the toilets. During my stay there were also numerous customers who took their food. So the employees were all good to do. Food and drink were served wordless after not even ten minutes. Too bad, a good appetizer or the like, I would have found a friendly and also appropriate. The glass was filled to the edge, so it almost flooded. The food was steaming hot. A large portion of crispy fried duck lay on a handsome bunch of fried noodles. In addition, a stick of sweet-saur sauce. I would have liked a little more of the sauce that was a bit too sharp to me personally. The skin of the duck was crispy pink, the meat was wonderfully tender and in no place with a layer of fat. One of the best crispy ducks I was allowed to eat so far. The fried noodles were enriched with the usual vegetables and also very and so I was only a little sad at the end that I did not enjoy eating at Maccaroni. Funny, the owner of the Maccaroni was also a guest at the Asia Inn during my visit with his wife. Since I had already paid, I could leave the place after I was waiting for about ten minutes after I had finished my meal. Crockery and cutlery had not been removed until this time. In summary, I have to say that my visit has definitely been rewarded and I will come back with certainty-limiting probability. And the price performance ratio is of course overwhelming. I also feel that the prices of the other food are extremely favourable. In my opinion, it would be good if the Asia Inn had opened for more than 8:00 on Friday and Saturday. Because the Asian fast restaurant would be heavily frequented by the Coburger Partyvolk before or during the nightlife. Otherwise, in the Steinweg on the later evening only the passage to the Dönerbude remains."
