had a booking for the place was very busy and the atmosphere was very good. service was good and the food was great. staff were very friendly.

I had a reservation for 5:30pm and the restaurant was bustling with a lively atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The staff were also very friendly.

Lovely building. Classy decor. Lively buzz. Great windows views down the Headrow. Only issue we had was with a fishcake dish but they responded very well. I was offered another dish and was not charged for it. We will go again.

Booked some time ago through open table. Greeter seemed confused when we arrived. minutes early but found table for drinks. Then appeared to be forgotten and had to chase for a table in a very crowded restaurant. It transpired (we were told) that the booking from open table hadn't arrived and that when we entered the restaurant the greeter assumed we were another booking. Big fan of Brown’s in Leeds, Glasgow and Brighton. Normally a great example of an upscale chain restaurant but this time it was appalling. The waitress was great and doing her best to cover up for the kitchen/chef and management failures. I can only imagine that the A team had the day off between Xmas and New Year. The failures were compounded by ‘Ash’ who proclaimed himself the Assistant Manager and the most senior person on duty this day. Other than an overly generous solution of zeroing the entire bill which I didn’t ask for, rather than dealing with the issues, his attitude was like a teenager being scolded for a less than perfect school report. A group of four friends and I made a reservation for Saturday at 8:30pm at this restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious, but the service was extremely slow. The waitress took a long time to take our drink orders and bring them to our table, even though the establishment was not busy. The staff behind the bar seemed more interested in chatting and laughing than attending to customers. Our food was tasty, but we had to remind the waitress to bring us the wine we had requested to go with our meal. We (myself and friends) booked a table for for Saturday at The food and drinks were very good, however the service was very slow. The waitress was very slow to take our drinks orders and bring them over to our table, even though the bar and restaurant was very quiet. The staff behind and around the bar were stood laughing rather than waiting on tables. Our food arrived and was very good, however we did ask the waitress for some wine to have with the meal. The waitress must have forgotten we had asked as she returned minutes later to ask if everything was ok with the meal, at which point we had to remind her we had ordered the wine.
