A small menu but only with good products and top service in the city center

Pretty nice place, the steak was awesome, the rest was good... Also kind of expensive but normal for Swiss standards

A very warm place and team where you eat well. Children more than welcome. The big plus: the majority of “classic” dishes are offered in smaller portions for children.

Ho pranzato in questo café con marito e bimba piccola, di domenica. Trovato un po' per caso tra I pochi aperti la domenica, è stato una bella sorpresa. Locale semplice e informale, personale gentile e disponibile. Cucina Buona e curata con prezzi onesti. C'è anche un angolo con I libri e i giochi per bambini. Ci torneremo di sicuro!

I had some time between meetings in Lausanne and this locals’ recommendation for a nice co-working caffe has exceed all expectation. It is quite, convenient and the WiFi is fast and stable. A bit short but nicely diversified card provided both for a healthy lunch and some lovely nibbles to pick upon whilst catching up with the backlog in one’s Inbox. And the coffee is good! Après une activité en famille à Pully, nous nous sommes décidés pour un détour à Lausanne et le Café des Avenues réputé "kids friendly" ("Label Unicorn" tout de même). si le lieu est vraiment sympa, l'ambiance le fut moins: avec le petit Matteo hurlant comme un fou 10 min. plus tard, nous avons été priés de quitter les lieux! ce que nous étions d'ailleurs en train de faire. lieu certainement sympa si on a trouvé une solution pour garder les enfants. Un poil cher tout de même .

Brunch du dimanche, le dernier si l'on en croit des affiches, qui annonçaient un changement d'orientation.L'ambiance "comme à la maison" était très agréable et la serveuse aussi. Malheureusement les plats servis n'étaient vraiment pas à la hauteur : Omelette qui était des oeufs brouillés, crêpes dures et petites avec un gruyère en miettes pas vraiment fondues. Bref décevant de ce point de vue. On espère vraiment que la nouvelle formule comprendra une amélioration sensible de la qualité des plats.

We were looking for somewhere to take the whole tribe (aged 7-56) and had left it to the last moment. The manageress tactfully pointed out that we'd left it a bit late and that if we'd wanted Sunday brunch, we should have booked. However, she suggested we came earlier (tennish). This we did and discovered two things:a) Café de Avenues is a remarkable fun café, with young, chirpy and friendly staff, wonderful food - it always takes me time to decide but I ended up with an omelet with fresh herbs, a side portion of fried potatoes, mushrooms, fresh orange juice, chai, bacon... it was wonderful.b) if you want brunch, book early.
