Absolutely delicious and very authentic tiny French restaurant run by a family. We had scallops as well as the large prawns, and fabulous homemade bread and butter. The decor and atmosphere inside is authentic and very artistic French and modern.

I have visited C'est la Vie twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner. The food was fantastic and I believe it is very reasonably priced. The only issue I faced was deciding what to order because everything looked so good! I would definitely recommend this place!

Visited this lovely little cafe a couple of weeks ago during a work visit to Lerwick. I was feeling poorly but the friendly service and a delicious plate of mussels with Roquefort sauce took me back to many a happy time in France and made me feel s much better. Our favorite restaurant in Shetland! We ate here three times and were warmly greeted by the proprietress despite our meager command of the French language. The food was perfectly prepared — we loved the haddock as well as the monkfish mains. The food is French with a Spanish ?basque) influence. The interior of the restaurant is charming. Wish we could have such a restaurant in our home town across the ocean!

we had tapas here and enjoyed every bite thoroughly. it was absolutely a taste of Europe. especially I enjoyed the black olive grove and the Spanish salate. the granatapfel smooth was also delicious. love the way the place is decorated, feels like they are in a French or Spanish caffe, with a hauch thrown by the orient! great service and advice, what to choose. so wonderful to get these tastes in the middle of lerwick.
