"we arrived at the bistro of papy mold to 5 people with the desire to make a good ripple and we carry on inputs/tapas then dishes. on the menu, some names of alleviating dishes and in the end a big disappointment with several titles. I summarize-. anchovies marinated at 13€, not even 13 anchovies dispatched on a large plate, the great void! attention of anchovies in box ;)- cold molds marinated, the only dish to save in terms of taste and quality. OK validated-! padron peppers that a kid would succeed better than that!!!Let's pass the resistance plate:- two portions of pasta with shells that hold on a plate for a person. too cooked and a misery in terms of shells-. rednet nets lost in the middle of not much. some fatty vegetables and an insignificant rice! Let's go to the best now: the boss brings a bottle of wine and all of go uses a drink on the bottle of the guests by declaring "I haven't tasted it" (2 hours to break it I swear). in the end we accept to take digestives to push all this and we ask for the addition. "My girlfriend was riding a bike ride and one of our stops for the night was in Aigues-Mortes. our guide recommended the peacock bistro and we went to the city walls to locate it. it is found that we were in Aigues-Mortes on the same day as their annual celebration of the feasts of Saint-Louis, so the community was full of space and visitors. we managed to find the paou bistro in one of the side streets and even if we had no reservation, we had the chance to have the last table available for two. they do not offer paper menus because everything is written on some large portable black tables that are displayed so that you can make selections. our server took care of us quickly and we both ordered inputs and a glass of wine each. our French-language capabilities were sufficient to enable us to communicate effectively! We both selected local wines and they were very kind. a lot of bread was provided and we looked with wonder the restaurant filling up and the small team of servers took care of everyone. our meals went out in time and the presentation was very attractive. I ordered a lamb dish and my girlfriend ordered grilled local fish. Both meals were fantastic, they were cooked to perfection and very tasty. Vegetables were provided for both of us and I had potatoes with my lamb while my girlfriend had rice with her fish. We also ordered desserts and they were served quickly and were also delicious. As the evening went on, we noticed that it was a challenge for the servers to follow everyone, I suppose that because of the festival, it was probably more busy than usual but they managed to serve everyone with a smile even if they were a little overwhelmed. . we spent more than a week in france and we both agree that it was our best meal during this period!"
