Ate there on 13th May, table of 4, service was average, menu was basic. Prawns not cleaned correctly, made 2 diners ill. Over priced and poor quality for an establishment that should really do better. Not recommend. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £100+

A friend summed it up. 8 out of 10, but they think they're an 11, hence my marking them down to 3 out of 5 for perceived arrogance. Food is good but expensive. Staff are keen but amateurish. Very very disappointing meal. Bruschetta very ordinary. Tomato bowl tiny portion tasteless tomatoes, minimal accompanying leaves and dehydrated tomatoes added nothing. In contrast Chicken bowl had a massive rather tasteless chicken breast with a salad with uninspired dressing. Would have stayed for desert but did not want to chance a further disappointment. At premium prices you really do expect better. Waiting staff were however delightful.

Slow drinks and fast food. Had to wait 15 minutes for pre dinner drinks and then had to wait to be shown to our table which was like a works canteen. Then we were ignored for 20 minutes and had to ask a waiter to take out drinks and food order. Incredibly, the starters arrived within minutes even before the drinks we had ordered! We had to ask the food waiter to get our drinks. Within 5 minutes of finishing our starters the main courses arrived. We had to ask for a break before ordering any dessert. We had been served two courses in 20 minutes. This meal for two cost £172 and for those prices you expect better service and treatment. The whole experience was abysmal Ver carta

Sunday lunch sadly was a big disappointment. 5 people in our party plus a baby, so not a huge gathering but the time it took to serve the meal was painful. No apologies given for delays and I had to asked for our main course to be served! Meal was poor, roast potatoes had obviously been under the heater and were dry tough and tastless, and when the carrots came they were only lukewarm! Not wanting to spoil our family occasion I didn't complain. However I did send feedback on their website immediately, however I am still waiting for an acknowledgement for that. Overpriced, poor value, and over rated. 2 stars for the overworked gentleman waiter. We have had far better and cheaper Sunday lunche...

The food and staff were exceptional. I had the lamb rump which was cooked to perfection, with a pea puree which was to die for. My Partner's salmon dish was also impeccable. The desserts were also fantastic. The chocolate delice was everything you'd expect in a premium dessert. The staff were incredibly friendly and energetic. In particular, Nick helped to create a wonderful environment. The atmosphere was only enhanced by the amount of happy faces on the staff. My only critique would be that the prices were more than you'd expect for the food. Although, this is likely to be expected as it is a hotel restaurant and due to the surroundings atmosphere. Terrible food yesterday. I had a vegetarian bento box.. ceaser salad included came with anchovies even though they assured it wouldnt as its vegetarian! Mushrooms served on an actual crumpet in a space you cant even cut it to eat it who wants a crumpet at a fine dining establishment. I thought at the leas lt it would be their take on a fresh 'crumpet-. Aarancini ball and carrot cake ok. Mushroom pasta came with fully raw mushrooms scattered over it?? Does anyone really go into their kitchen and fancy biting into a raw mushroom? I never have. No flavour Vegetarian ceaser salad main was hopeless no dressing and a ridiculous amount of thick halloumie cheese. This is meant to me a healthy light... Ver carta
