"What a fantastic experience. We made a reservation for Thursday night and were impressed by the attentive and knowledgeable staff. Our server was friendly and welcoming. The children's menu had generous portion sizes and quality equal to that of the adult dishes. My wife and I shared a delicious medium rare tomahawk steak, cooked to perfection with a smoky flavor from the open fire. Our daughter enjoyed the bone-in option. The fries were hot and crispy, sprinkled with sea salt. The salad was outstanding, featuring more than just lettuce and tomatoes - it included fresh crumbles that complemented the flavorful meat. The meal was excellent and reasonably priced. It's rare to find a restaurant that offers such a unique dining experience. We highly recommend it."

Oh my, what a lovely evening. Fantastic food cooked and served by lovely staff who made a fuss of our Cocker puppy as well as us. Little bit more expensive than some others but we'll worth it. Try the tomahawk steak!

Fantastic Sunday lunch. The young guy cooking the meat absolutely nailed it. Sirloin, medium rare was sooooo good. Roast potatoes to die for, red cabbage, cabbage, cauliflower cheese, asparagus , carrots and Yorkshire pud ....it just kept coming. Great stuff. Thanks again

Amazing rib eye steak and the triple cooked chip had wonderful flavour. The sherry cream sauce was devine. My partner had the lemon sole which was also cooked to perfection. I did take pictures but for some reason the camera didn't work. If you're on Dartmoor and hungry go. Ver carta

Relatively recently refurbished. Bar appears to be bistro style, which is tastefully done. Outside they have a covered outlet for food and drink for the better weather. Good location for walkers or those driving over Dartmoor. Lots of potential and deserve good fortune. Believe they do accommodation too.

Without a doubt, the best steaks we have ever tasted! They were cooked right in front of us on a charcoal grill. My son, who is a food enthusiast, was allowed to watch the chef prepare and cook the steak, which was an amazing experience. It wasn't just about the steak though. The appetizers were delicious and the desserts were heavenly. The service was excellent as well. Overall, a 5-star experience!

"Gidleigh Park is a country house located in a wooden wally in Devon. It is quite hard to reach the place on a very narrow road, which is very beautiful, but apparently during the winter larger cars can’t even get there. Gidleigh Park houses a two-Michelin star restaurant with Michael Caines as the main chef (the restaurant was recently voted number 1 restaurant in the UK by the Harden’s Sunday Times Food List 2014). Gidleigh Park also has bedrooms (apparently all individual in style and design) and you can stay there for the night and then wonder in the gardens of the estate, which I saw some people doing when I was there. I was visiting Devon and my boyfriend chose Gidleigh Park for lunch on a Sunday and we took the long and narrow road to Gidleigh Park. The inside of the house was very old and had a lot of charm. It had eclectic art and antiques and different style rooms, the lounge had different tables, chairs and the bar was done up in a completely different style. Gidleigh Park showcased British charm and elegance. You could chose to have their signature sample menu for £140/ person, but instead we went for the much cheaper version, their lunch set menu for £44/ person for 3 courses (you could also have 4 courses for £57). Also note choosing dishes a la carte would set you back £115, so the lunch menu seems like the cheapest way how to enjoy Gidleigh Park. We did not have any wine, but apparently thy have an amazing wine cellar. The three course lunch menu included a small appetizer, a starter and a main course and you could choose from one of the 3 starters and one of the 3 main courses. Our appetizer was “goat’s cheese foam with beetroot jelly, candied walnuts and granny smith apple”, but as my boyfriend does not like goats’ cheese he had a tuna tartar as his appetizer which actually looked better than my appetizer. I was not to"
