"Absolutely adore this cafe and don’t get there nearly enough living in Manchester) when we get back to Belfast to visit. Best food ever -delicious homemade and creative combinations. The owners and staff are wonderful, there’s always a warm welcome and even on a wet Saturday with a dog in tow so takeaway only) we had beautiful takeaway coffee and tea with a carrot cake scone and a rhubarb one too for good measure. Definitely having those again "

"From start to finish all we can say is Magnifique from entry to departure, the team members on duty went out of their way to be helpful and so knowlegable about the delicious shellfish dishes we wished to order. For starters we ordered Crab Claws which were delicious, if a tad tricky to negotiate opening them, but we perservered and managed to enjoy. For mains we both had scampi, my sister opting for Battered Scampi and I Breaded Scampi, and I sampled the Battered Scampi and never have I tasted such light Batter a joy to eat, and so fresh, you could taste the sea! All in all a most magnifique experience so thank you so very much Wayne and the other Owner sorry did not catch your name, and the nice lady who looked after us too. Simply thee best Speciality Shellfish dishes around!"

"My husband and I were invited to join a couple of our friends last Saturday at Frenchs, Clough. We arrived on time and we’re allocated a booth to the right side as we entered. Service was prompt and efficient we ordered our drinks and chose from the menu. 2 no.. fish, chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce. Another ordered the 6 ounce stake with onion rings on the side, and the 4th guest decided upon the Hawaiian burger. The food arrived hot and perfectly displayed our on the plates. Efficient and pleasant staff all well turned out We had fully intended to have a dessert, but when the time came, although we were eager to try the options, we declined. Our main course had more than satisfied our hunger, and we each agreed that the portions received were just right for us! If we were to have any more, the chances are that we may in fact ruin our meal experience. 3 coffees and a tea later, we asked for the bill…… it’s my understanding we owed £99.00 ….. a fair price for a tasty gin and apple cocktail, a West Coast Cooler, 2 pints and a whiskey wouldn’t you agree! This was our 1st visit to this establishment and we would thoroughly recommend it to others. The layout of the restaurant is open and can adapt easily to cater for large parties. The banquettes or rather the fixed seating area along the side walls created space saving, cosy, intimate seating booths and due to the professional and welcoming staff we enjoyed our privacy ...a great experience, good food, great service at an affordable price. Good first impression the entrance was clean well lit with outdoor seating and car parking on site. Thank you French’s we will be back (reservations recommended)."

"The Maghera Inn is confusing if you haven't been there before. The Inn is a bar and restaurant and the carpark is at the back. The carpark has three sides so you're not always aware how busy it is. The bar part is quite dark and if you would like food you have to wait to be seated. The restaurant at the back has lots of windows. The bar part less so. As it had a number of reservations, we were seated in the darker bar part. The chicken stack and the cheesy topped Guinness and steak pie were good. Service was fine but reserved."

"Total disaster arrived with 2 kids and 2 adults and was asked if we booked there was 8 people in the whole place) I said no was that ok. It was so we sat in the bar area. 15 mins to get kids 2 apple juice and waiting 30 mins before after seeing another couple get served before us) get up and ask was there a problem as we had not ordered yet. The answer was “the chef told me the waiter to not take anymore orders as he was busy with the 8 covers”??? I had 2 kids 6 and 10 years old they won’t wait another 30 mins maybe 1 hour total so I said I’m sorry we need to leave. Being polite I asked if we owed for the 2 apple juice expecting a don’t worry about it but oh no £4.40 for 2 cartons of apple juice omg. Never ever again will we go there had to eat chips in the car up the road for dinner what a complete disaster beware of this place until they get staff it’s avoid avoid avoid from me."
