Expensive dinner however worth the money. We waited an extraordinarily long time to be served, but when the food finally came we understood why it had taken so long. Absolutely delicious, prime ingredients and tasteful touch.

We decided to have lunch to celebrate the birthday of my friend. It was an excellent experience, very nice environment and food. Service was special with nice standard, and the food was delicious! I recommend this place also to eat spanish specialities.

Spanish cuisine in a very nice environment. Quality of food is very high and it impressed me positively. Good selection of wine and friendly staff. Music at the right volume and of good taste. I am waiting to come back there during summer as they...have a small garden it should me nice to enjoy. Ver carta

Hello. We visited this restaurant the third time. The menu is always nice, special and outstanding as it is not the usual stuff you get everywhere. So this is great. What can be improved is service and (again) the menu. Not much change in there...for several weeks .. Nevertheless a good experience

I haven't been to this restaurant for over years. I am glad I visited it again. It is still by far the finest restaurant in the Essen area. I like it's hidden from the tourist crowds. Food is excellent. I wish I took a...picture to share... Pumpkin soup was exceptionally good but truly outstanding was the Martini's Gans specialty in early November that is hard to find. Can't wait to visit this place again.

We are two hungry friends on the road and chose The Bonner Hof using google maps and drove off the autobahn for it. It was a pleasant surprise to see such a cute and well decorated place. The waiters where very nice and the food...very good. Some ingredients where not available and got changed , maybe understandable on a Sunday afternoon. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed the meal. Would recommend to stop there! Ver carta

Having lived in Germany as an expat for years and tried numerous times to get into this little gold mine, tonight we finally made it just on the off chance. A fabulous relaxed atmosphere very warm and welcoming. The staff are very engaging and...nothing is to much trouble, answer any questions you may have. Well.... the food is second to none absolutely delicious from the flavours to the cooking right down to the perfect presentation. I would very high recommend this restaurant to visit we had a superb night.

Was it by chance or on purpose, we discovered this restaurant and will surely return. Summary first: great place to enjoy a flavor full dinner on a discrete terrace, al fresco one may say , great team and very important a great choice of fresh...food incl vegetarian options. Do not miss it, but let keep a place available for me next time I wish to try! We had plan a dinner in the area of Duisburg- Dortmund but could not really find interesting location. We had a reservation for five, what is always a challenge for a restaurant: crowded table for four or a spacious table for six? Luckily, we got a table for six, thus we had enough space. The menu card is a bit of confusing especially...for older persons, because it is not hte widely used list type, but more prosaic. Due to that, the order of drinks needs a little bit more time and mixed up the waiters. Subsequent, one drink was forgotten, but after short reminder, was quickly served.
