beautiful home made eating, with beautiful staff who are very responsive and helpful. the steak and the ale pier of tom was amazing! dog-friendly also in the bar area. bonus! recommend them if they are looking for a place to eat in the hopeful valley.

beautiful small pub near our holiday home. I agree with the views that it is more of a restaurant than a pub. we have not eaten, so can not comment on eating, but beer was at a great price. we sat outside in the sun and played cards, beautiful atmosphere

visit chatsworth house and found the derwentwater arms near. very enjoyed our stay. good food, drink, service, location, clean and quite expensive. has a defined garden where you can relax with a drink when the sun goes down! thanks to kat and. the team for a great stay!

beautiful pub with excellent dining. it was the best meal of my weekend visit in the opposite. I enjoyed the soup and potato soup and fish and chips. the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. highly recommended for anyone visiting the...Bakewell calver area.

cracking pub from the main street of the village. animal beer garden and kosily decorated pub. excellent menu with good vegetarian options, and the ploughmans (with extra cheese instead of cake, even if this is a blasphemy) was fab. friendly staff and although the decor is beautiful, its is a dog friendly (and slightly mudy boots friendly) pub.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only thing I can find fault with was it was very cramped to sit on the toilet in the ensuite and the water pressure was a little low. Neither of these...were big problems. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and tea on both days which was well above average. All in all I would recommend a stay here.

Booked in advance which was wise. Food was home cooked, not particularly refined in terms of presentation, stodgy and plenty of it but lacked a bit of flavour. Fair prices given todays cost of good, although the starters were over priced. Staff friendly, comfy seats...maybe a while since the doors have been open but smelt a bit like my man’s house on entry. Great if you are hungry and just want to fill your belly with something after a long walk.

Moved to the area almost 2 years ago but hadn’t really visited the Derwent water arms apart from the odd pint outside. Recently however we have visited in the evening to eat a couple of times. Love it! Nicely decorated inside and polite friendly staff!...Loved the food as well. I’ve had the pie a couple of times which were fantastic and also the fried chicken also very good. My partner had the crumble for desert which she also enjoyed! I also think the food is very reasonably priced….. My only disappointment was they had sold out of all their pies that you can buy to take home…. an excuse to go again I guess! Thanks for a great couple of visits

We spent 3 nights, end of February. We stayed in the dog room, very comfortable, big bathroom. Never ending supply of tea and coffee and fresh milk. Food was superb, every dish we had was exceptional, really good value and professionally presented. The staff and...the service was excellent, everyone was really friendly and happy to help. Breakfast is designed for burning calories off later, but as we were not hill walking, I opted for the Granola, Yogurt, fruit, which was a massive bowl full and with added toast, left me full to lunch. I did have the full english on the last day and really nicely cooked and enjoyable. than enough ! Overall, a really nice place to stay, defiantly recommend it...
