"There are many wonderful medium-sized Biergärten nestled in the various woods around Munich, and this is one of the better ones. The Biergarten seats about under a canopy of Chestnut trees, and is easily accessible by car, bicycle, or foot as there are cycling...and hiking paths throughout the area. The menu includes typical Biergarten offerings, including roast chicken and roasted Haxen (pig's knuckle), and lighter offerings such as Obatzda, a Bavarian cream cheese mix that goes wonderfully with the large Oktoberfest-style pretzels. I had the chicken, and it was delicious. It's tempting to lump all of these medium-sized Biergärten in the Munich woods together, but like people although they appear somewhat similar at first blush each has unique characteristics of its own. Besides the friendly clientele, this Biergarten is reportedly in the Guinness Book of Records for having the longest table in a Biergarten in the world it's a good meters long and made of unfinished native wood (see picture). It's well worth making a special trip of a summer afternoon through the woods just to experience the Biergarten and enjoy a cold liter of Munich beer under the chestnuts,"

Terrible time, rude staff, tutting with every item ordered, bill came with additional items not ordered. Never go back.

if they are close to and want to eat a Bavarian or have a tasty beer, this is a decent place of service and the prices are quite standard for a few. .

Nice stubl in the west south-west of Munich. Biergarten was technically closed when visiting in April, but still able to enjoy a halbe outside. Expect it is a nice spot when the weather warms up.

We tried to get a meal here, but after waiting minutes, no waiter showed up. We had let the staff know we were there, but they never showed up so we left. It was a shame, because it was a nice Biergarten right on...the edge of the forest and could have been a nice experience.

Definitely get a feeling of Gemutlichkeit here. Not too big, lots of families and great shade from the trees. Easy parking. Food is very good, the beer is very good. Service is not so quick, but your really not in a hurry anyway. A great place to get away from the heat of the day.

Waiter was unnecessarily rude. Asked for a strudel and got a schorle, not a problem just fix it. Billed us for both as if it were our fault. Just paid in the end and deducted the tip. Cheaper for us but spoilt the night. Just because my German is not great doesn't mean I don't live here. I won't be back.
