"I ate at ellies on a series of occasions and found it hit and miss, but Post-Covid I thought I would try again and was pleasantly surprised. I had booked a table for a small key family meal. we arrived and became. sitting quietly on the big back windows, as I had demanded, which offer a spectacular view over dungannon and beyond. the sunny day made this view even more impressive and offered many points of reference. we sat and a beverage order taken away directly while menus were distributed. the menu is a single, unpublished printed sheet, a remanent of Kovid times that I hope to disappear as soon as the single page is less than pleasant to order. the one grip I have with ellies is the slow service for the first order of start and netzen. the service that the rest of the time seems to be in order, but ordering this initial delay is a consistent problem. the starters came quickly, consisting of braut, suppe, salted chili huhn and garlic mushrooms. I would like to begin by saying that the portions for the precursors are very generous. the bries were big keile, there were also many chickens and mushrooms. a joy when you consider that in the regular starter sizes can be more common. the braut was golden and gooey. the suppe was a subtle, creamy, curly cauliflower, which was offered a delightful alteration of the tempos from the bog standard suppen selection at another place. for the net we had steaks, chickenstacks, burger and baked salmon. all were fabulous. portions were generous and very well served. the steak was cooked for perfection with a beautiful seaman. the champ was creamy and the baked salmon was a color shower. to dessert we have sown in cheesecake, lemon balms and brownies. the cheesecake was super rich and sweet. the brownies are very sweet, but still beautiful. the lemon mygue left the side a little because while she looked like an art work it was cold. lemon melissa should be served hot, and not only the Meringue blow, which was slightly warm and browned. from basic to top it should be hot. the vanilleeis also tasted vaguely smokey and was not something we would do again. Apart from that I accelerated the first order and tinken with the desserts to serve warm, where appropriate and change the vanilla ice cream brand, I was very impressed by this trip to ellies and will certainly be back. for the generous portions and good quality the meal was also quite favorable!"
