"A group of us attending the Bayreuth opera festival had dinner here and were quite satisfied. The owner is on hand and attentive, as are the staff. The restaurant is informal both in the relaxed dress of the customers. The food is traditional Bavarian, as is the wine. We had some self appointed wine snobs and they pronounced the wines to be excellent. All in all, a wonderful meal.NOTE: For those planning a group meal, many restaurants won't give separate checks but Eule was very good about doing this.Suggestion for getting there. First, if taking a taxi, know that the name is pronounced "Oily" not "E-Yule". Next, this restaurant is hidden on a side street off a mostly pedestrian (except for taxis) street. Be sure to get VERY specific directions or to take a taxi."

original french pub with history and tradition. fits excellent with Wagner’s bayreuth. very tasty eating of products from the countryside. especially the mousse au chocolat did it to me and the selection of the wee is excellent. Ver carta

Friendly old style family restaurant in a small alley in old Bayreuth. Nice choice of chanterelle dishes when in season. Pleasant terrace makes this a good lunch option. Inside wood beams and heavy furniture give the restaurant a traditional feel.

contrary to the many positive reviews and the internet site that invites to feel comfortable, I was thoroughly disappointed. the service was unfortunately unfriendly and the main dish was little spectacular. the portion size was okay. I was told that this was a very unusual desire and that they could not do anything at all (although they stand on the map) and there are vegetarian dishes that I should choose one. two stars are still available for the nice original ambiente, which, in my opinion, were overpriced but delicious dessert (Kissmarn).
