I love everything about this pub from the food (the batter for the fried fish is consistently perfect: light and crispy) to the setting (there are plenty of seating options: indoor outdoor) and the amazingly friendly service. I make sure to have at least one lunch here whenever I am back in Suffolk Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5

A very nice olde English pub, good position by the sea, although you couldn't actually see the sea. Good range of beers although 3 types weren't able to be served. Food is very expensive, (e.g., lasagne £17) and when asked about sandwiches, the barman, who really didn't seem to have the time of day for me, presumedly because I had just asked for 3 beers that weren't being served at the time, was uncooperative and I was told there were menus around somewhere. I had travelled for over an hour to get to the pub for lunch, but we decided against it, and left.

The large, beer- battered cod and chips we had yesterday was average, the cod was well cooked which is important, but the chips were really over fried, I felt. I couldn’t eat the mushy peas as they tasted strange. We didn’t stop for a pudding, so not sure what they are like. There was a good selection however. I felt the seating area outside could have been better. The new artificial turf was practical for the landlords, I agree, but the benches were uncomfortable. I would concentrate on making the garden furniture more inviting, then customers would spend more time; which would result in the pub making a profit on more drinks etc So, the price?
