Super friendly and welcoming staff, clean organized place, good food.

I went there for dinner and had Fish&Chips with peas. With a local beer. Jummy!

Visited with family. Between us we had scampi and chips, ham egg and chips and a beef lasagne. Portions were huge and food was excellent. Ver carta

Stopped here for lunch on the strength of the Google reviews. Was not disappointed. Chicken burgers and smash burgers were excellent. Decent pint too.

We had the halloumi fries honestly, best we've had yet! The crusted salmon was SO tasty, and my boyfriend really enjoyed the haddock. Zara was so friendly and attentive despite the busy restaurant. Make sure to book in advance, we can't wait to come back!

Great place short walk from marina and has car park at rear nextbto a garden, went on band night had food before got busy the best chicken burger chips coleslaw I had ever staff so polite from start to finish was very busy and the manager thanked everyone who came. We booked a table for lunch today, we were served by a lovely waitress, Katie. She made us very welcome, showed us to our seats, was helpful, understood the menu and our dietary requirements perfectly. Our meals were prepared by George and were faultless. He also made us a beautiful chocolate cheesecake which was literally, to die for. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its history, friendly and helpful staff and excellent quality.

Overnight stay for the morning boat to the Netherlands. Bit of trouble finding the place using Google maps but what a gem. Comfortable resteraunt with a nice choice of menu at reasonable prices.Took the scampi and it was good,very good. Staff were awesome very friendly and went out of their way to make you welcome. The bedroom spotless,tea and coffee available,big bathroom and comfy bed making it a great sleep. Single Room 6) As at night the breakfast and breakfast staff were exceptional and nothing was to much trouble. Travel this route three or four times a year and will be using this little gem again.

We had a family reunion in Harwich and decided to go to the wine bar as it was always a lovely place to eat. What a disappointment. As soon as we walked in a waitress announced that we couldn’t all have a roast as there weren’t enough and was asking what we wanted before some of us had even sat down. Once meals were ordered we were told lots of other dishes were also unavailable. The meals arrived fairly promptly but were dire-the roast beef was grey. We then wanted to order desserts but couldn’t as the kitchen had closed. Overall, we felt very unwelcome and the staff were verging on hostile after a clearly busy day. It’s such a shame that a long-established Harwich eatery has gone down hill... Ver carta
