The best place in clacton for a Sunday lunch, great food great atmosphere great service. Been for dinner as well, never disappointed. Reasonable priced for quality food

Wow this restaurant is not to be missed out on, superb menu excellent selection quality food presented by excellent chef hard working front of house team. Beautiful surroundings a hidden vine covered terrace. Having visited a number of times we have had a warm welcome.

The restaurant is lovely, the staff are very friendly, and the food is impeccable. We did check the menu online before coming and noticed some discrepancies in prices. There was a £9 difference in the cost of a main course compared to what we ended up paying. The menu prices should be updated on the website. Despite this issue, we had a pleasant evening overall.

Have always had a great time and food at Maffias. Chris and the team are great. Last Saturday night my Dad came over from Ireland and all my sisters from around Europe to celebrate his 90th birthday. He was made feel so Special. The food was wonderful. The staff were brilliant. George is just incredible. She welcomed everyone and was so pleasant and such fun. We were strangers to the area looking for something to eat for lunch on a Sunday. Stopped on the off chance and made to feel very welcome. Food was fresh and delicious starters were smoked salmon and crab, both tasty and nicely served. For mains we had one skate wing and one roast pork. All served hot and tasted wonderful, served with plenty of salad for the fish and fresh veggies for the roast. Happy to recommend and if we are in the area again will definitely be back. Thank you and all the friendly staff.

A smallish restaurant in Holland-On-Sea but considering the limited opening hours it offers a tremendously varied menu. We were certainly not disappointed with our choices and thoroughly enjoyed everything on our plates. Granted, we went with relatives who are regulars at Maffias and who the staff knew well but we have no reason to believe the service would have been any less excellent in any other circumstance. Not cheap eats but very good value for money nonetheless. Good choice of beers, too. Recommended.

Wow! After attending a wildlife talk in the nearby hall, my group decided to treat ourselves with another talk scheduled for the afternoon. We were pleasantly surprised by the hidden gem that is this restaurant. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and we both decided to try the fish bake, which was absolutely delicious. The dish featured cod, salmon, and smoked haddock in a flavorful cheese sauce, accompanied by perfectly cooked fresh vegetables. I enjoyed a decaf latte, while my friend opted for a pint of pale ale.
