"So far so good... ordered the calamari for A and Mushroom Alfredo for Moi! The calamari is beautiful and tender not an ounce of chewiness. The Alfredo was just the right balance and the mushrooms were lovely and earthy and fresh tasting! We will check back in with our main course!Main course for A was the lamb shank and mine was the new recipe Meatballs. I'm still giving 5 stars because it all was lovely the new meatballs were a bit of a weird combination of lemon herbs and pork with the meaty ragu sauce but I got used to it the more I ate. A's lamb shank was glorious!Tom W was really attentive, friendly and welcoming and it looked to be well organised."

It's reasonable food, at a decent location and the service is normally good. I do think it's quite expensive unless you take advantage of some of the offers though.

Terrible place waiting nearly two hours and only two meals come out that where cold. We got up and left like a lot of people. More interested in Just eat delivery's.

I have a soft spot for Frankie's. Nice staff, nice atmosphere and good food. It's been getting more expensive and portions have been shrinking but they often have offers and it's a nice no-frills meal out

We have been to this frankie and bennies at monks cross several times. Each time the care and attention to detail was exceptional. The menu and food was great, the staff were fantastic. Can’t wait to visit again.

we would definately go here again.nothing was too much trouble.food was great, service was excelent. they took time to explain the menu for allergies etc. we will will definately be back. we would give them 5 stars.

We have just had one of the finest mixed grills we have ever tasted. The staff are absolutely fantastic the attention to detail is phenomenal. Thankyou Guys. Frank and Benny's should be well proud of their staff at the vanguard Monks Cross York

Dire tonight. Had to wait over 20 minutes for drinks order to be taken and then didn't arrive til after starters were brought and informed the waiter. Tables that were dirty when we entered were still dirty as we left. No staff member looked like they wanted to be there, however the food was delicious

The First time I 've ever refused to pay for a meal! After eating 1 of 5 very little plastic off tasting mushrooms and the hard yoke of a oil burnt egg, a bite of cold bacon, my partner agreed that my mushrooms were off and her waffles were cold, the waiter confirmed that the waffles are over two hours old! I gave up and after discussing my concerns with two members of staff the manger offered me a fantastic 20% discount then after further discussion a 50% discount was offered as she was informed i had eaten over half! I quote i 'm not having this, this conversation is pointless (not me or my partner)Conclusion: AVOID
