Gaucho Smithfield - Carta

Stopped in late evening for a drink. Excellent martinis and cocktails. Nice ambiance, and good service.

We stopped in for lunch early on Saturday afternoon and had a lovely brunch of buckwheat pancakes and eggs benedict florentine.

eating was amazing and the personal where beautiful and very knowledgeable about the menu. Both steaks were cooked to perfection and were really good quality

From the service, through the starters, mains and desserts, everything was excellent. Even the coffee afterwards! Would highly recommend, and likely to visit again.

it is wrong to say about gauchos. excellent steaks and bearnaise sauce. sommelier was on the spot and recommended one most delish rose. we have fed and watered well and very happy. Ver carta

this restaurant is very excellent with the best team of coworkers, of whom I had the pleasure, led for a very long time by their highly professional manager artur. the eating and the wein were both equally good my wife and I still remember our first, very good experience of gauchos in hongkong, but today's visit surpassed this! A small team in front of the house, they all supported each other and in any case knew all their products while a thorough knowledge of all the products. to be a traveler, only through, it's a long way to visit smithfields, but we'll be back sometime.

the restaurant is for me local so I have expected it after a few years. it was very busy when we approached Christmas. the first cure was delicious, but we were presented only with two skalopps! that was on the front. because it is a permanent restaurant, I ordered the T-bone steak. when it came, it was much smaller than expected (300 g) and was cooked medium instead of medium rarely. However, it was consistently very hard and was only edible. this is not what one hoped in a specialized bark meat restaurant and the cost were £30 and no next order. really not good enough. I will not go back in a hurry.

We arrived earlier than planned but not a problem, seated us in the bar and ordered cocktails. At the appointed time we were asked if we wanted to move to the table and our drinks quickly followed us. Maitre de was excellent, on hand when required and organised the serving team well. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the wine and made good recommendations about the Bookatable menu options. Service continued to be efficient and unobtrusive. We spent a lovely two and a half hours celebrating my daughters graduation, the restaurant team recognised this with a tailored dessert! The one down side would be the massively overpriced wine.
