"This restaurant is exceptional. It is exactly what I want to eat when craving traditional German Austrian food. (Like all places there is so much bad food out there. Our German friends had been here before and we were lucky as we never would have stumbled across it on our own. It's right off of a busy road but you forget that quickly as you sit outside in the patio. There is a playground right onsite which was great for the kids Plus a Kids menu. My husband had the roast venison with braised red cabbage and they happily substituted bread dumplings for the hush puppies. I had the special roast pork with bread dumplings and sauerkraut. Also side salad a small one would have honestly been plenty for two of us to share. Our little one has the kid's schnitzel and kid's bread dumpling with meat sauce. Not a crumb or drop left!"

Ein sehr ansprechendes Restaurant mit sehr guter Küche und netter Bedienung. Schön daß es den ganzen Tag Wärme Küche gibt und wir auch um 15 Uhr total lecker gegessen haben. Sicher wieder mal.

Überraschend gut, die Dame war sehr bemüht und das Risotto fantastisch. Auch Corson und Schnitzel waren gut, ebenso der Backhendlsalat. Einzig das Steak hatte Luft nach oben, das würden wir nicht nochmal nehmen aber in Summe top, da kommen wir gerne wieder!

Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker. Waren in unserem Urlaub bereits zum 2ten mal dort essen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Leider war nur recht wenig los, was sehr schade für den Wirt ist. Im nächsten Urlaub kommen wir dort gerne wieder zum Essen vorbei!

After traveling through Europe for several weeks, this lovely restaurant still stands out as my favorite! Wonderful service, friendly owner, and amazing food. The ingredients were fresh and my schnitzel was larger than my hand! Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area.

Auf dem Weg von Fuschlsee in Richtung Wolfgangsee eher unscheinbar und fast schon einsam auf der rechten Seite gelegen, findet man den Gimsenwirt. Der Service ist sehr gut, nicht aufdringlich, das Essen wird schnell zubereitet und an den Tisch gebracht. Es ist vorzüglich und schön angerichtet, passend zur Saison gibt es immer auch spezielle Gerichte. Sehr zu empfehlen! Parking: Direkt von der Straße zugängig
