"we had a Burrito bowl, a Katsu tofu burger and chips and bor on toast for the little (I think that was the dimension of the vegan options.) it was all delicious. And then we cost the carrot cake and bananenbrot, both yams and I say the cakes are made from a vegan to so extra soothing! the waiter who served us was really helpful to find out what was vegan on the menu (as it was not marked) and also told us about a vegan place in bangor, so knew his things. beautiful atmosphere in an old church and great location for walks snowdon, etc. updated by previous review on 2022-03-22"

"We were drawn to Caffi Colwyn by their boards on the street clearly promoting vegan specials. It is located in a beautiful spot next to the river and National Trust shop in Beddgelert. Bonus points that our dogs were welcomed in the outdoor seating area, where a doggy water bowl and treat station' were on offer for four-legged visitors! There were three clearly labelled and promoted vegan main dishes on the specials board: a curry, a burger and a salad. We tried the burger and it was pretty tasty. There was also a vegan banana cake available, though we didn't try this so can't comment on it. The villages across Snowdonia aren't exactly brimming with vegan-friendly pubs and cafes, so it was great to see the vegan meals being so well promoted here a great start!"

"We were here for dinner. The entire interior is lovingly designed. You don't immediately realize that this is also a pub. First you stand at the reception of the small hotel. The restaurant's only menu is written on a blackboard here. Please take a photo of it and then order it. We had the beef lasagna and the chicken curry. Both very tasty. You immediately felt comfortable and welcome here. An absolute recommendation!"

"This is truly an occasion where I need more stars to give! I 'm ashamed to say we visited this place 3 times on our trip through Snowdonia. We kept choosing drives that happened to pass through Beddgelert. The charming young man behind the counter, Andrew, was extremely friendly knowledgeable and you could tell how proud he is to work there you don 't see that often these days, and he 's a real credit to this business. As far as the ice cream absolutely to die for. I 've been working my way through the US and UK ice cream shops for 40 years, and I 've recently been in Italy. The strawberry sorbet here rivals that of Italy honestly! The other awesome flavour that you never see anywhere is banana chocolate chip. Banana ice cream is very rare, but to be combined with dark chocolate chips?! I 'll be dreaming of Glaslyn ice cream long after I get back to Yorkshire. We also ate at Glaslyn pizza next door, and it was very good. Light and fluffy crust, fresh ingredients, reasonable prices. If you stop in for ice cream and have the pleasure of meeting Andrew, tell him Mrs Banana choc chip sent you!"

"The pub itself is very nice with cosy corners and definitely is dog friendly, so if you just want to have a quiet drink after a day of exploring it's lovely. Where it's let down is around the food. The options available consisted solely of burgers unless you ordered off the kids menu (which had some really good portion sizes to be fair), however, the burgers were not the best and we were missing the sides to go with it. Also the service times were ambiguous where the signs outside indicated service until 8pm, however, on the night in question service stopped at 7pm, which is pretty early to be closing considering they were the only location in the village serving food that was dog friendly."
