were eating with eight people in the restaurant garden. you sit there very nice, nicely served and the delicious food came quickly and at the same time. the matjes was super-lecker and fresh and the others also eat very well. the prizes are totally okay. what do you want more?

My wife and I ate at this restaurant twice during our stay in Quedlinburg. It was perfect. Great variety at moderate prices. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to this pair of English speakers. We both enjoyed it and preferred it to the fancier and pricier other eating establishments.

the restaurant is located directly in the shopping street. in the courtyard there is a nice garden, where you can enjoy the good home cooking in all the rest, which is offered in the hössler. the dame of the service was very accommodating. we had a garlic pan and 4 sorts of matjes (smoke,- crimped,- cherry and natural leaves) with bratkartoffels. the fish was not cooked and the matjes was just delicious. as dessert matched red hat with vanilleeis. The restaurant up front does not impress, but walk through to their delightful garden and you have arrived at an oasis of calm and tranquility. We were lucky to have warm weather, so could enjoy the outdoors. On both occasions, the food was better than...expected. The baked fish dishes, mostly served with pan fried potatoes were light and moist. One meal was a fish soup, more like a bouillabaisse but with different flavors. Quite tasty. They serve a variety of beer, and I believe wines. We had Radlers a beer and lemonade mixture, a great thirst quencher. Food is quite good, prices are fair, and service friendly and caring.

We ended up there for dinner as it was a Monday and most of the restaurants seemed to be closed in Quedlinburg. It seemed to be the right choice since we were feeling like fish for dinner. As we came in there was nobody to...welcome us and there was no sign of waiter/waitress. After a while a chef came out from the kitchen and told us to sit. We quickly realized that it would be a long wait. There dining area, the kitchen and the bar were very far from each other and the waitress had to take the order go to the kitchen to tell the order go to the bar to prepare the drinks.
