"we have stumbled over this caffe after a long walk. it was like an oasis, we needed a cold drink. inside it is tastefully decorated with a relaxed atmosphere. very clean and comfortable. to our drinks we tasted some cake - a vegan apple-cocook cake and a mandarine with advocate. both were very tasty and inexpensive. the menu consists mainly of drinks, cakes and light snacks. the host was very attentive and gave us some ideas where we should visit and what we should eat. if we ever return to bamberg, we will definitely visit cafezimmer again."

"We were a group of English guys staying in Bamberg for a weekend of beer, sightseeing & more beer. Bamberg is, of course, the centre of the universe for fans of beer & brewing culture. One of our group found Cafe Abseits on the internet & it was possibly the best find of the weekend. I contacted the proprietor prior to our arrival to warn him of a group of 14 men in need of a hearty breakfast & some local "where to go" info. When we arrived, tables were reserved for us & we were warmly greeted by the owner who proceeded to tell us about the wonderful beer brewing heritage of Bamberg. We were served up a fantastic breakfast - the emphasis was on hearty portions rather than gourmet presentation, but we were all, without exception, greatly impressed by the quality & size of the meal. In addition to the great breakfast, Cafe Abseits has an impressive beer list, focusing mainly on local produce. We were treated to much inside knowledge from the proprietor during our ordering of beer. A man with an obvious passion for his product ! To cap it off, we were offered a sample beer, on the house, of a special beer brewed by a local independant brewer using hops grown by a local farmer. The owner didn't need to spend so much time with this level of personal attention, but he did & we were all blown away by our visit there. It's tucked away a bit, on the wrong side of the train station for most tourists making their way into town. But that only added to it's charm. Highly recommended to anyone with an interest in beer who is visiting this amazing town for the weekend. I could not fault this place & will remain indebted to the owner for such a warm welcome to Bamberg."

"La reserva por teléfono fue simple, con pocas horas de anticipación y un grupo de personas se acomodó rápidamente. Amplio espacio entre diferentes mesas de clientes. Formularios de rastreo de contacto inmediato para completar. Enmascara el distanciamiento social estrictamente aplicado. La comida estaba deliciosa, salieron pedidos ... tal como se solicitó. No se permiten modificaciones en las comidas, aunque la comida estaba bien servida. El restaurante estaba muy limpio en todas partes, para incluir baños. Magnífico espacio con asientos en la planta superior. Disfrutamos de nuestra comida en el mejor sushi de Bamberg. Gracias"

"we were in cocoon last Saturday. what is offered here is unfortunately only disappointing. the smoky beef steak had a rubber-like consistency and the taste of the Thai curry court ordered by my man compared to that of an ordinary delivery service court - therefore in a ratio to a very high price more than inadequate!!The service staff was not attentive enough (after taking up our drinks orders we had to sayful 30min to wait for two (!) beverages, also need to be worked on the difficult to understand). For my man and me - as already mentioned - very disappointing, since our very high expectations to the cocoon restaurant in bamberg were unfortunately not fulfilled in the least. it is too bad for the beautiful, modern ambiente! we were for the first time and certainly also for the last time too gassed in the cocoon bamberg."

"I lived in Bamberg and anyone said I had to go to Francesco, so I had a date there... well... I though it was an high quality, well dressed Italian restaurant. As I went there I was overdressed and the service under-dressed, with sneakers (I don 't expect sneakers in an elegant restaurant! , the waitress unkind and the waiter McDonald style. Food was in the average, noting exceptionally that I had expected from a restaurant so well known. Dishes where dirty and the famous panoramic view over Bamberg ... well in Bamberg there are much better places to watch the panorama. I don 't suggest Da Francesco and I definitely won 't go there again. Maybe I had too high expectation, but also without I would have been disappointed."
