Had the broccoli pizza with vegan cheese and focaccia and both were excellent. In an area with otherwise few vegan options, this was worth the extra time to walk to

If I drive from the high north from Hornebronx to my old home to Gallus, then my first way here is...the Tiramisu is a dream. The pizza is super tasty and the rest I had so far.

Veganen Käse gibt es nur gegen Aufpreis (2). Die Vegetaria ist ganz gut, aber 9,90 Euro plus 2 Euro Euro dafür recht teuer. Es ist keine aufwändige (wie bei Pizza Zampano oder Rund Bunt) oder besonders große Pizza. Auf der Karte ist keine explizit vegane Pizza, zum Beispiel ganz ohne Käse. Ich bin kein Fan von Käse-Alternativen. Da wäre etwas mit Hummus oder mehr Tomatensoße schon gut. Halt etwas, das auch ohne Käse genug fett und „Saftigkeit“ bietet. The Gallus quarter is an odd area of Frankfurt. Down out on the surface, but also home to a few surprising jewels of the city. And this place is one of them. They do take their Pizza seriously. It was our first visit here, but we were made to feel very welcome. And the food (Pizza and Salad) was great the Pizza was baked just to the right point, and the salad was fresh, with the right amount of dressing. The minor fly in the ointment was that we got the wrong variety of Pizza Bread (soaked with garlic, instead of rosemary and oil), but this was sorted out quickly by their cheerful staff. Lively, friendly, great Pizza what 's not to like?

First of all, the pizza tastes great. Variations for vegans could be more creative, but everyone is free to create her or his own special with wilmersburger pizzaschmelz. What I really do not appreciate, is staff mocking about plant based diets, in front of fully occupied tables. I consider that extremely unprofessionel and potentially embarrassing for the customer. After talking to them I got the impression that they think the only reason to leave dairy products out of diets are lactose intolerance and other illnesses Spiritually, the still have got a long way to go, but I can cope with that and enjoy a pizza once in a while...
