Shere Punjab is “UNSER INDER” in Essen, indeed in the whole Ruhr area. Since 2003, then still in Gelsenkirchen, I am regularly here to enjoy INDISCH.

it took hours until the order was delivered. When it appeared, it was the most tasteless huh tikka masala I've ever had. it was like boiled chicken in red colored water. no taste, no salt, nothing. never again!

Not the first time we have been here and I am pleased to report the food is still VERY good. However the staff, whilst generally friendly, are a bit disorganized and the head man who took the payments was not familiar with the word thank...you. Still, you should go for the food

Authentic Indian cuisine with a great selection of dishes. We have tried through various breads and dips and were very done. The salad and the baked cauliflower were a delicious appetizer. The website explains various degrees of sharpness that you can order. Also for vegetarians a great choice. We will definitely pick up food here again! Ver carta

Shere Punjab has become our tribal when it comes to Indian food. Here you get authentic Indian dishes. The owners and operators are really very nice and open. The food is really great and the portions are absolutely saturating. It is also possible to determine the degree of sharpness. I especially recommend the butter chicken. Especially the greeting from the kitchen with the three different sauces and the Papadam (very thin crispy bread) is great. You can also leave the food or pick it up. Absolutely recommended.

My quest to find the best Indian restaurant in Germany brought me here and I was pleasantly surprised. Our friend made the reservation by phone and was impressed with their efficiency. (He left a message on the ansaphone and they phoned back promptly, which certainly...doesn't always happen! The service was friendly, helpful, informative and efficient, helping my inexperienced German friends with advice and suggestions. I ordered chicken Jalfreizi and the waiter discussed with me, in excellent English, how hot I would like it (as the german palate is not used to hotter/spicier food) . I opted for sehr scharf (very hot) and it was excellent (possibly more like vindaloo heat) Everyone enjoyed... Ver carta
