Kings Head - Carta

We had an afternoon drink. The courtyard is lovely. The staff very attentive. They brought the drinks to our table. All in the heart of Stamford.

Visited with some friends over bank holiday weekend. Good choice of food and beers. The burgers were very nice and the kids soon polished off their lunches too!

Came here yesterday with my husband before an event we were in Stamford for. Only went in for one drink but we enjoyed your heated beer garden and good music so much we stayed for hours. Thanks to your amazing attentive staff!! Ver carta

Visited with friends and a great night of chat, drinks, food and an interactive lighthearted festive few games of free non traditional ‘bingo’. Love the unusual prizes. Highly recommend. Thank you Gee and your team. Looking forward to our next visit

We come here frequently, so much so that I forget to leave reviews! Just the best burgers in town! Quality ingredients, well thought out menu and super tasty! Amazing, well kept beer, fabulous staff what more could you want?! A proper, honest, welcoming pub for locals and tourists alike!

Quite Saturday lunchtime due to the local horse trails, made welcome by the friendly staff we had the Brynjar Burgersson burger and BBQ Beef shin burger both really tasty. Nice courtyard and Beer, it did start to fill up as we were leaving. For sure we would go back when we are back in the area. Ver carta

On a very cold day, after a good country walk, we wanted a pub meal and fell upon this place!! We got a great welcome from the minute we stepped in the door! The place was full but we were welcomed, seated and served quickly. The vegetarian fish and chips was the star meal!! It tasted brilliant and the owner was excited to discuss how we liked it and took the time to explain how he made. It was brilliant as was all the other dishes we had. Along with the great beers and mulled wine we had a great time before we walked back.

Me and 3 friends of mine for the first time went to the Kings Head for lunch and were definitely not disappointed. We were all very impressed what we were served that day and all agreed it was fantastic food. Even had a dessert too. Drinks selection there was excellent too. The atmosphere and the staff were excellent too. We were so impressed that we went there back for an evening meal and again were excellent. I would definitely go back there again with my wife and already arranging to go back there for lunch again with my friends during December. Thank you for lovely food and service. Would recommend the Kings Head to anybody.

The Kings Head is our favourite Stamford pub. Just off the main High Street, it is a hidden oasis of cosy, traditional charm. Incredibly well run by friendly and efficient staff. It is waiter service only, which cleverly avoids the usual battle of thirsty punters at the bar. Not having eaten there in a while, we decided to try the burgers. They were incredible! I had a ‘Dunker’; cheese and bacon burger with dipping gravy. Honestly, it was the best burger I have ever eaten. My husband, was just as enthusiastic about his ‘Slaw Galore’; brie and coleslaw. The fries were crispy and hot. Perfect! We are already planning our next visit. Ver carta
