"Simply outstanding. Best restaurant in Bridgwater without any doubt. The place is very cozy and as there are 5 tables the chef is checking how is everything and you can see how he is actually cooking. The taste of everything is incredible. Even the little things have a really nice taste. The atmosphere is really relaxing with the perfect type of music. Moreover, cannot be forgotten the homemade ice creams for dessert that were absolutely amazing. There was a special chef called Brad Edrich who made everything for this day and made this dinner such an spectacular dinner. This is the place of Bridgwater that you should go to eat at least once in your life."

If I could have left a 5-star review, I definitely would have! This restaurant is amazing! The ambiance is truly beautiful. The food was incredible, and I have no complaints. They accommodated our vegan needs perfectly, and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! Ver carta

An absolutely fantastic place to eat and something that has been missing from Bridgwater for a long time. It is decorated tastefully, the set up is love and intimate so you get a very personalised experience. The food was just delicious and worth every penny! The front of house staff were attentative, was interested to know about you and gave recommendations on the menu based on the evening. I will 100% be back here again, thank you for a truly special evening!

Just passing through and decided to book near the Hotel for dinner. Lucky we got the last table at this very small 6 table Italian style restaurant. Great service from our waitress and the food was fresh and well presented. Had a chat to the owner. Has been in business about 12 months and rightfully very proud of his products and service. You have a great future and will do well. Food was very well priced at around 20 per head including a cider each. Highly recommended

The chef prepared an incredible three-course meal for us! The only downside was the white wine, which tasted inexpensive and lacked flavor. However, I'm still giving a five-star review because, although the restaurant selected the wine, it wasn't bottled or produced by them. The food was delightful, and the atmosphere and decor were impeccable. I would definitely return and recommend this place to others. As for vegetarian options, about 50% of the menu was suitable for vegetarians. Ver carta

This small but perfectly formed restaurant is an absolute delight. With only 5 tables, it provides an intimate dining experience with a friendly atmosphere. We visited for the first time last night. My wife had the scallops followed by smoked salmon pasta with white chocolate tiramisu to finish. While I had chicken thigh arancini, crab spaghetti followed by the affogato. All of the food was well presented and tasted delicious. All credit to the single chef kitchen on turning out such amazing food.

Simply put this is the best restaurant in Bridgwater. We went for the wild mushroom risotto and the halloumi salad. The risotto was creamy and tasty. Our dessert choice was pistaccio and rocher icecream. They were handmade and you could tell from the taste and quality. I would like to recommend the rocher ice cream because it is one of the best ice creams i had. Views are not amazing but plenty of natural and next to the town centre. They only have space for around 10 people inside which helps the chef to take extra care when preparing food and presentantion of the dishes.

"Based on the Bower inn’s website, my husband and I decided to book a table for dinner Sunday at 7:30pm. Based on the description of the pub’s passion for good food, local sourcing of ingredients and menu we we’re looking forward to our dinner. The pub itself also looked welcoming. Unfortunately, when we walked in we had a completely disappointing experience. We were immediately told we had three minutes to order before the kitchen closed even thought on the website the kitchen was open until 8pm, and we were asked for our drink order before we had even sat at our table or had looked at the menu. Things proceeded to go downhill from there. Service was poor. We had to chase staff to get wine or anything else we wanted once our meal was served. Meals came within 5 minutes of ordering and were clearly pre-cooked without much care for quality. Our salad was ice cold and clearly pulled directly from the fridge. A side of broccoli was nearly raw and the veg with the roast looked and tasted re-warmed. While the vegetarian burger was very good, the roast pork was average. We had to chase after staff to order a second round of drinks. All-in-all we were in and out in under an hour having had one of the most disappointing and up relaxing dinners ever when we’d expected to have an enjoyable and relaxing evening. We spoke to the assistant manager about the problems we’d had. She accepted they’d fallen short and took the appropriate action, but still we left feeling dissatisfied, rushed and disappointed. The Bower Inn clearly has potential to provide excellent hospitality, but they obviously need to be honest with customers on kitchen and bar closing times before bookings are accepted and need to then provide a decent level of service and food quality to match what they claim on their website."
