"It's a nice restaurant, but I question the knowhow in the kitchen. Very good quality of products, but it seams that there are no one having the skill to make it justice. We had a whole piece of beef fillet of fantastic quality, but there were no or very little seasoning. It was though cooked to perfection. The mix of vegetables were undercooked. The sauce quit blend and the fried potatoes undercooked, no seasoning and had a strange taste of not fresh oil. My starter was really good. Last minute fried duck liver with glazed melon and rhubarb chutney. Price: for what it was I have seen better for less. Maine dish 48 Sfr is quite overpriced, not for the meat quality but for the treatment of it."

"Nice little Thai restaurant in the heart of Yverdon. We ate a small assortment of typical starters there. A peanut sauce to pick you up at night! Very nice to whet the appetite. And then I had Thai basil chicken with sticky rice as I like it. At my request a little spicy and it was perfect! Well presented dish and refined tastes. My wife had the vegetable pad thai which was very good too! Beautiful portions and served with a smile! All with a Singha! It’s reminiscent of vacations in the sun! We will definitely come back here on our next visit to this magnificent city!"

"Eating only poultry, several people recommended that I try the chicken burgers at Double R, which is the benchmark for burgers in Yverdon. Quite popular, being that the place is small. You absolutely have to book! First problem, our reservation for 5 people was not recorded. (We had booked a week in advance . The waiter found a solution and moved us to a table where there were already 3 people… let’s move on… 2nd problem, the menu card and a completely torn, greasy and sticky old paper. Honestly, I hoped that the cuisine wasn't up to par... 3rd problem, I order my famous chicken burger which is so recommended and there, the pompom, the waiter tells me that they don't make chicken burgers... that it's the bar next door that does. Whereas the friends I was with came 15 days before and the chicken burger existed. anyway next… So, I ask if there is a salad and the waiter asks me if I want the burger bun with it?! Suggests I put my salad in the burger bun?! I laughed, but I laughed ; So, I told him that a small salad for 6 would go very well and I stole 2 3 fries from my friends ; The story continues with the dessert... on the menu there was a Moelleux au chocolat if I'm not mistaken and well again at the time of ordering he didn't make any, or more and offered other desserts... The only good point for me was the commercial gesture that the waiter made at the end, seeing all the hiccups since the beginning of the evening, offered us the digestive/coffee... And I recommend the little Punch, so good that we had a second one."

"A very large, airy dining room and a terrace. Very friendly service. The plat du jour was a real bargain salad with ham, frying chickens in curry sauce with rice and roasted vegetables, as well as dessert with whipped cream, all for 17 francs. Nothing pretentious, rather secret. The chicken was well cooked and delicate, with crispy skin. A la carte salmon steak was 26 francs and generous. Also free Nibbles with aperitif and a small appetizer. From the beaten route away from the middle turn right from the station, follow the lanes and over the bridge, and it is a few minutes further, on the other side of the road, clearly indicated with a big sign."
