The Lavender Tea Rooms

A very quaint little café in a beautiful courtyard. Amazing coffee and hot chocolate and the gluten-free toastie was just delicious! Definitely recommend. I also bought the best tasting gluten free mince pie I’d ever eaten here!

Cute place to have tea, slightly humid but very chill and the staff were nice ! Would recommend if passing by and want to have a cuppa during the day of walking around Bakewell : they also offer different things appart from teas ! Ver carta

We visited on saturday. Such a lovely little tea room, with great choice of sweet and savoury options. Hot chocolate was delicious, as was the bakewell pudding with warm custard. They were busy but the waiting staff were superb. Would 100% recommend. We will be back.

Booked here for afternoon tea. I was expecting dainty finger sandwiches and a selection of little cakes and scones. What we got was doorstep sandwiches with crusts left on, cut any old how. Big cakes and scones (we could only manage one) had to take the rest home. Not my idea of an afternoon tea. It was more fitting for

Booked for Mother’s Day. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious. We’re advised that three orders would be more than enough for four people, and they were right. We left with a lovely box of cakes to eat when we got home. Staff so friendly and helpful. Lovely surroundings. Definitely recommend visiting here when in Bakewell. Ver carta

We met friends for an afternoon tea today and it was delicious, great selection. Me and hubby had a traditional afternoon tea, our friends had a vegan afternoon tea and one had a gluten free vegan afternoon tea. All were delicious and enjoyed by all. The staff serve you with a smile and nothing is any trouble. We will definitely come back. Thank you.

First visit to this Small 'Tea Room ' tucked away down a short shop filled lane in Bakewell. Quiet enough to be seated quickly. Sandwich was fine , latte not so but that might be a personal thing. Strange ambience as we felt the radio was on for the staff (maybe they enjoy Gary Davies in the morning) and not for diners. The atmosphere actually made us feel like we were an inconvenience and not welcome. 7/10 for value.

This has to be the best place I've been to for afternoon tea. The sandwiches were delicious, and we had 8 fingers sandwiches each. which is double what you get anywhere else. All of them were on bloomer bread and cut like door steps with plenty of filling. Then there were the 4 cakes each, and they were all really nice. Last but certainly not least there was the scones, huge, light and fluffy. I would highly recommend and will definitely be going back. Oh and we had a doggy bag as we couldn't eat it all.
