"We stayed a week in Carcassonne and tried two other restaurants, but this one was the best. After walking all day long, it was a pleasure to relax here and enjoy our meal. In the evening the yard is illuminated. They also have an outside kitchen so you can see them prepare the food. The various salads were good. The Carpaccio of fresh Salmon was delicious. Even something risky as Entrecôte, grilled on wood fire, was tender and well seasoned. The Pizzas were made of thin dough; just the way we like it. As dessert I took “The Colonel” and we never tasted something tasty like this; ice cream with very little parts of citron, some lavender and and a dash of Vodka. Irish Coffee tasted like it use to be. Service was very friendly and helpful. Price/Quality Ok. We warmly recommend this restaurant!"

The environment is perfect, a inner courtyard with beautiful trees and tables. The food was a normal one. nothing special but ok.

Location very nice, but that's about it. If the food had been medium or above the vaitress lousy interest in her job would maybe equalized our experience. Do not recommend this place

A lovely shaded walled garden. The chef has a massive "bonfire" in a hole in the wall, and grills the steaks on the glowing embers which he rakes out. We had two wonderful steaks there, and would certainly revisit

We ate here several times during our stay, the courtyard setting is lovely and cool, and the menu suited everyone from grandparents to slightly picky 11 year olds. Traditional french food beautifully cooked, along with oven baked pizzas and pasta dishes.

Delicious menu at 28 euros. Foie gras starter, grilled gambas main and good choice of deserts, wine included. Wonderful garden/park setting under mature trees. A veritable oasis just outside le cite in the old quarter. Good service, choice of food including BBQ.

Arrived there starving after booking into our nearby hotel. Husband had delicious freshly home made burger with chips which he says was excellent. I had slow cooked pork with a curry and honey sauce with tossed salad and chips. It was divine and reasonably priced. Good local red wine and coffee, too.

Starters and main were very good from the fixed menu. The pichet of wine was on the limit of acceptability. What was unacceptable was being charged for the pichet when the fixed price €28 menu said it was included. The desserts were also below standard. I feel if the wine and desserts had been better then this would have been a good place to eat. Shame.

The food was excellent and the setting on a hot summer night was wonderful but the service was not so good. The person who served us didn't seem that interested and even though they were not particularly busy until we had almost finished our meal it was difficult to get her attention. I will say again that the food was very good but there are better alternatives in a city full of restaurants.

"Visited today for lunch after reading a recent review about the high quality of food on offer. We were not disappointed! It was superb. There were 3 choices on each of the courses with one vegan option on each course. I had chicken fricassie which was the most delicious chicken dish I've had for a very long time. The meat was so tender, it fell away from the bone; the mushroom sauce was deliciously tasty - it wasn't over seasoned. My OH had tofu wok which he really enjoyed. Both were served with rice and runner beans. The starter was a dish of 2 types of melon one of which was watermelon, with feta. We didn't think it sounded great but we were very wrong. It was served with a dash of vinaigrette made with a light oil, a tiny bit of honey and toasted flaked almonds and was surprisingly interesting. All the flavours worked so well together. For dessert OH had the cheese plate with 3 different types of cheese which he loved but it couldn't have been better than my raspberry Eaton mess which was particularly good as it wasn't overly sweet. All for €18 each AND it was all organic! We sat outside in the courtyard which was a very pleasant area. The ambiance throughout was of calm. No background music, no clattering noises or shouting from the kitchen area. It was a little oasis of refined lunchtime dining, The service was impeccable. The young man who served us was very impressive and able to tell us what ingredients were used in the vinaigrette. It goes without saying that the high standard of food and service were also reflected in the high levels of cleanliness throughout. We only wish we'd discovered this place sooner and will be back again as soon as I can trust the OH's arm"
