immersed for a fast, excellent real ale. then a fellow runner told that the Sunday dinner they had here was absolutely excellent.

after a gruelling days to walk, beautiful hotel, great staff and even arranged them for us to eat in a local restaurant, as their kitchen was closed and we all famished..........a great breakfast will come back Ver carta

Stayed here for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend with my partner and dog for a walking/sightseeing break away. Room was clean with very comfortable bed and powerful shower, plenty of space. Food and drink good and staff amazing, very professional, helpful and nothing was too much with an excellent delicious breakfast each morning. Special shout out to Lewis and Jake behind the bar who was exceptional in making us feel welcome. Highly recommend.

We stayed recently for 1 night while travelling around the Peak District and what a gem! The greeting from Donald was very welcoming and the room was truly lovely. Spotlessly clean and well equipped! We ate in the evening and the portions were huge! I chose the pork chops and it was delicious! The bar in the evening was great and the locals very friendly! Breakfast was perfection and certainly set us up for the day! We will certainly return very soon! Thankyou for a very enjoyable stay!

I visited with 4 friends tonight to try the chinese Menu . We all ordered at the same time . After 45 minutesThe first meal arrived which was wrong but my friend ate it anyway as was hungry. The 2nd meal came out 15 minutes later. The last 2 meals arrived 20 minutes later after asking twice . It would have been nice to all actually eat together . The lad behind the bar was very apologetic and said the delays were because of the amount of take away orders they had . Surely customers sat in the pub waiting should take priority . When the food arrived it was actually really nice . I think its also very cheeky to charge £3 each to eat in from the chinese menu . Ver carta
