Luciano's Ristorante

I love their pre-theatre meals, so I keep coming back. I've never have a poor meal or a bad experience. Food and service is always excellent. Thank you.

We always make a point to visit this restaurant every time we go to the theatre, and we have never been let down. We recommended it to a friend and she also enjoys it!

having been a regular here 15 years ago i was very disappointed at its decline. Food was average at best and the member of staff actually disagreed with me having brought the wrong sweet. It will be longer than 15 years before I return Ver carta

We enjoyed a lovely pre-theater evening with our children at this restaurant. As always, the service was prompt, the food delicious, and the prices very reasonable. This has become a regular tradition for us whenever we attend the theater. Thank you once again. Paula Binks.

Myself and my wife had a meal here before going onto the theatre. The service was first class and the food was magnificent it’s a lovely place to sit it’s cosy romantic atmospheric but you don’t feel cramped and you certainly don’t feel rushed I would recommend this restaurant to everyone

We enjoyed a pleasant meal during our third visit to Lucianos. However, when we arrived, they informed us that they did not have our reservation on file, despite receiving multiple confirmation emails. We were pleased that they were able to accommodate us nonetheless and impress us with their service. Ver carta

luciano’s is a wonderful authentic Italian experience. I don't live in sunderland, but traveled one away to give a friend the experience. the restaurant is attractive, eating amazing service courtesy prompt. the only negatiw is, we sat near a window and were a very cold day in an old building, it was a little cold (the window was closed). that will not put me away from this wonderful place. love it!

Luciano's is our favourite Italian restaurant in Sunderland we eat here at least twice a month the food is always delicious and the menu carries a good range of varied options. I would particularly recommend the gamberoni al aglio, the tagliatelle al salmone, the stuffed peppers and the pizzas. The staff are all friendly and the atmosphere is authentic. I particularly like the music they play it is never too loud and adds to the ambiance. Whenever we have taken our family to eat at Luciano's, the staff have shown themselves to be very child friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. If you have never tried Luciano's, you should give it a try.

Reception Arrived exactly on time for 6pm booking but waited 10 minutes to be seated Receptionist asked if we required drinks, which we did and informed her we were also ready to order our meal. she stated she was unable to take menu orders. Waited another 10 minutes before our order was taken for both starter and main course. It quickly became apparent that one waiter for 20 tables was going to cause delay problems. Whilst waiting for the starter we noticed that the restaurant was cold with a few free standing vertical electric fan heaters generating very little heat unless you were seated immediately adjacent to one which i was not and subsequently donned my outer coat to keep warm.
