The Broadway Stirks Steakhouse Grill

I was disappointed that I ordered my steak medium rare, but it came more medium well done. On a positive note, the chips and everything else on the plate were really delicious.

We had a funeral buffet in the waverdon pub. The food was not of good standard and small amounts ect1 bowl of curry for 50 people. 10 cheese scones to share .get other cateres in or do your own .nobody enjoyed it

From the moment we arrived, everything was first class. I had the Tomahawk steak and oh my lord it was amazing. Sweet was a chocolate brownie with caramel and the same again, amazing… great service and great value with fantastic service

The manager asked us to go to the bar for drinks, so she obviously knew we were waiting. However, after waiting for 5 minutes, she served some other people who arrived at the bar after us. While serving them first, she looked at us and smirked. We did not feel welcome at all, so we decided to leave. It's a shame because the place is lovely.

Unfair to review this as The Broadway as pub is now the Wavendon. Recently reopened and pub has gone downhill rapidly. Owned by Green King they want to be ashamed once a respectful pub/diner under previous owner , the Wavendon/Broadway is now a den of drugs, vaping and kids running wild! More suited to a caravan park. The owners need to be ashamed. Please avoid

This restaurant was very disappointing. The food arrived cold and lacking in vegetables, possibly to prompt customers to order additional sides from the menu. I asked for my meal to be reheated, but it did not make much of a difference. The Sunday lunch, priced at £11.95, featured brisket which is typically okay with some fat, but mine had an overwhelming amount that made it inedible. I would not recommend this place for Sunday lunch.

Just moved house to the area, read the recent reviews which seem a little harsh. Been in a few times in the last three weeks, beer very well kept and we had a great Sunday lunch last week. Had pizza tonight and knew straight away the pizza had been prepared by someone very professional. Turns out the Chef was connected to a local restaurant called Marcellos for many years . Sophia’s pizza’s are well worth the visit. Highly recommended,

It’s nice to have another choice of pub in the area. The lager is well priced and the chef is excellent. She has vast experience having worked at Marcellos for years, her Dad owned it. The pub is getting a bad rap for certain things but these are things that occur in every pub so I think it’s really unfair to have a go about it. You can go in any pub toilet in the country and people making sounds that resemble someone suffering from hay fever shall we say. On the whole it’s a good local boozer like any other. It’s dog friendly and it’s a family local. Just a shame people seem hell bent on giving it a bad name.

Well I will start with the good points friendly staff and reasonable priced drinks. That’s where it ends we have visited a couple of times to see if our first visit was a one off bad experience. Unfortunately this was not the case people openly vaping in the bar each time we visited with the staff turning a blind eye. On one visit to the gents a couple of young men openly waiting to get into the cubicle and audible snorting and then leaving a couple of seconds later. The place appears to be quite so I can see why the management don’t want to confront these people and possibly lose the trade whoever it’s counter productive as decent people will not want to visit with this sort of thing going...
