The best restaurant in Cologne, for the food as well as the service. A special thanks to Monica for her eternal smile and good humour. The food is always to season and delicious. I strongly recommend Maison Blue

Went there in August and enjoyed a lovey evening dining in the restaurant's garden. Food quality and wine selection are very good - but on the higher end of the price scale in Cologne. Bring some time since it took us nearly 2 hours for a 3 meal dinner. Ver carta

Although the dishes were nicely presented, I was disappointed by the lack of taste of almost all dishes. Apart from the duck consomme', the wild rabbit and the dessert were poor. The service was also extremely slow, which made my experience even worse. Luckily I didn't pay... :-)

It was too warm and muggy to sit inside, but too cool and damp to sit outside: the devil and the deep blue sea! We sat outside and the ambience suffered a bit. The food and service were good; we all enjoyed our food. The wine was very tasty and priced correctly. I can´t understand why this restaurant is currently placed so low on the ranking list because in my view it deserves to be higher.

We were looking for a nice meal, after driving up from Nuremberg at night. Tucked away in a residential area, away from the typical tourist spots, the ambiance is quaint and attractive. Service was great. The menu is small, but every appetizer, meal, or dessert we ordered was "lick the plate" good. Had the orange duck entree, goat cheese/salad appetizer and creme brulee. My friend and I agreed this was possibly our meal of the year, and will definitely be a revisit the next time we are in Cologne. Ver carta

We hoped to eat at The Toscanini but it was full and the owner directed us to Maison Blue. We ate outside in an attractive courtyard and it was perfect. Delicious bread and olive oil to start followed by an outstanding amuse bouche. Our main courses of calves kidneys in Dijojn sauce and a confit of duck were excellent and we treated ourselves to a selection of desserts for 2, The drinks were good, as was the service, and the bill was not outrageous. We would thoroughly recommend it.. It's only downside is the location - in an unlikely street about 15 minutes walk from Severinsbrucke.

This place was recommended to us by a barman at Hilton in Cologne. We tried their five course set meal followed by the five different type of wines recommended by their chef. It was an amazing experience. I went there with my boyfriend.They have a big menu as well. And the waitresses knew about what they were serving.Only negative point I saw here was it took a long time to bring the main meal. And it took a long time between courses.We must have felt it as we had to drive back to Frankfurt. Staff was very friendly. Wine was great. My boyfriend is a wine expert.
