"Hello and good day, last weekend we visited the Mediterana after three years, due to Corona, again our hotly beloved wellness facility. Our anticipation did not last long because we were very disappointed in many areas. Many things have changed to the disadvantage. Where are the beautiful fragrances? In the rose sauna it is hardly possible to perceive the scent of a rose. In the sauna, where there was always a subtle mint fragrance, even if infusion should not be perceived by mint. The wonderful scent in the Buddha sauna removed, replaced by a completely different scent. The renovation works are also not all advantageous. The toilet in the area of gastronomy is much more beautiful than before. But the Buddha sauna works very sterile compared to earlier. The sauna opposite the Berberzelt is beautiful, but also looks very sterile and cold. The walls simply white and bald, completely untypical for 's Mediterana. Somehow in the renovation and reorganization the harmony is lost, which was simply perfect for many years. This is a shame! And now to the staff: kindness, good ways of dealing, a calm and calm radiation, even in stressful situations, the feeling of being welcome so that we remembered the Mediterana. Last weekend we had to find out that this is just a small amount. Just a pity!"

Problem: The formerly very warm and always very well visited outdoor pool was cooled to just 23 degrees C and was consequently avoided by the sauna visitors, including me. An absolute NoGo, because what is this to do, who is being helped? With high use, this leads to the visitor having to crawl even more. Who pays for the sauna has a certain expectation that has not been fulfilled here. If the rescue is sometimes reasonable, it was saved in the wrong place. The porcelain heads of the bath or sauna towel holders were sometimes damaged or missing. Admittedly, a small thing still hurts the overall picture.

We have been to several German saunas with themed attractions, but I would have to say this is the most elaborate I've seen to date. Especially loved one room in the Indian saunawelt with a large wading pool around a large fireplace. The attention to detail and ambiance is unbelievable! There is a wide range of rest areas, outdoor sunning lawns, and pools with varied temperatures (though they were all a bit tepid to my liking, with the exception of one. My German friend, however, thought all the pools were too warm! Had lunch at one of the cafes; food was great, service was attentive. Top marks on amenities, style, and an overall sense of calm!

Coming from the USA, entering into the Mediterana, is kind of like a dream. It is located in a residential area outside of Koln, Germany. When you enter the co-ed locker rooms, you see very clean, upscale gym type club. It is co-ed, so seeing naked men, women, teens and children is common. Carrying a towel, you enter into Sauna paradise, indoor and outdoor pool, lounge chairs, bar and food area and more. It was interesting to see how friendly everyone was, people would chat in all areas, except for the saunas. Here are the perks of this place: the design of this place is phenomenal. Every room and every sauna are held closely to the design concept. It 's literally beautiful and you will find lots of details to appreciate. We also really enjoyed the bistro upstairs where they served really delicous salads. The reason I 'm not giving it 5 stars is because of a couple things: 1) the outdoor pool and jacuzzi are not remotely as warm hot as they should be. 2) I don 't know about you, but after 20 minutes in a sauna, I don 't really need to visit another sauna. For many years I went to Mediterana with my husband to spend a relaxing day there! So far everything has always been the best. This week, however, we were not really satisfied. "When I first visited the restaurant, I enjoyed it. A friend had taken me in the evening. Today it goes with my enthusiasts towards Bensberg. I am curious how it sounds to us today or to my wife. It is a relatively hot day and hopefully it is a bit shady or pleasantly warm or cool on site after the bus ride. At any rate, a staff member assured me that both the beer garden and the restaurant are comfortable on heat. Ambience When we entered the house we were kindly greeted and got a table in the house as well as a place outdoors shown. Because it was quite pleasant under the sun plan, we stayed outside. It was a good choice – with only three small “dividing”: The car traffic from the road was relatively good to hear (but not to see and smell, because a hedge protected from it, some insects visited us (but also flew on again after a short time and the light was colored relatively red by the roof foil (this is especially to note the photos). The pieces of meat were excellently roasted or grilled. They are only slightly salted and can be individually finished at the table with pepper or other salt forks. I have therefore tried some oats as they were served and others changed with pepper or some salt. My conclusion: Good meat really needs little support from other spices. Some salt and a small trace of pepper seem perfect for me. The cooking point “medium” was right for two meats in my eyes. Only at the onglet seems to me to be a bit more raw; for the piece appeared to me on the way to lose its juice and tenderness. In general, the two “upper” varieties have promised me more.
