"As we were entered Mezzo Mezzo in Essen tired of searching for a restaurant we decided to take pot luck even though from the outside the restaurant looked a bit old fashioned. We entered and the kitchen in the middle of the restaurant was very...inviting. The minestrone I ordered as a starter was tasty but nothing special. But when the main dish arrived namely a pesce spada (sword fish) wiht broccolis and potatoes I was flabbergasted. It was just incredily good ; I was astounded and delighted. I then ordered a tiramisu and what came was juste overwehlmingly delicious, light, creamy and amazingly not sugary at all. Excellent job guys !! I enjoyed dinner tremendously and I will come back as soon as possible."

Mezzo Mezzo is a good restaurant, bit high class, dishes are not cheap but have good quantity..! Ample for gathering, also you can sit outside if weather is nice..

Delicious Italian food. Family friendly. Vegetarian dishes available. We had the pesto gnocchi, grilled octopus and another pasta dish. Ample sized dishes fresh prepared m. Clean and low prices. and up.

We were a large group and the restaurant coped just fine with the large advanced order from the restricted menu. The food was no more than average though. Perhaps better if you are a small table and the staff are in less of a rush?

Visit with colleagues. Waiter was helpful and kind, but did mistake in order happens to be. Food was very tasty. Kitchen is open, so You can have a look on preparing meal. A lot of space in restaurant,high ceilling, that gives You possibility to...talk normally each other.

My father bumped into some business friends from Greece who highly Recommended this restaurant. I wasn’t sure if it was Greek or Italian, it kind of catered for both. I had a solid Beef Carpaccio to start with followed by delicious lamb cutlets Thanks...to Toni who looked after me. They have a nice open kitchen so you can see exactly what is going on.

only a few steps from the zacke customs club and you are sitting in the cozy restaurant .. the staff was very friendly .. after a good mixed appetizer plate ... we had decided for different dishes ... Pizza Caprese or Margarita are not necessarily...the Challenges were very delicious ... the others had pasta with swordfish which was delicious ... delicious Stauder Pils from the barrel completes the taste ... the dessert plate we looked at the next table ... saw very tasty and varied from ... we were there but already full ... thank you for a nice evening ... sure to see you soon ..
