Best pancakes and 3 fruit pie ever!!! You need to stop and eat here or at least get some dessert!! Our meals as a whole were wonderful and the staff was great. Thank you.

Good chicken pot pie. Great fruit and cream pies. Turkey sandwich a bit bland and basic. I liked some of the items and knowing what is good to order makes this a place I would go back to

Right off Hwy 101 at the North end of Newport. Excellent service at 8:30 AM. Had senior plate with 1 egg, 2 sausage links and 2 pancakes coffee. Perfect way to start a sightseing on the Oregon coast.

Excellent place for lunch, good service we have driven past this place for 30 years we have been visiting the coast. We now regret not stopping in sooner!!!!! And the carrot cake was out of this world.

Most excellent place for breakfast, we ate there two days in a row. First day we had the blueberry hazelnut pancakes and they were divine. Day two we had the sunrise special, a standard breakfast. Staff was attentive and friendly.

My husband and I ate here several times while visiting the Oregon coast both with friends and on our own. I am gluten intolerant and they have numerous options for a person on a gluten free diet. I had gluten free French toast for breakfast, gluten free muffins, gluten free cheesecake, gluten free chowder, and a gluten free fried halibut steak. All delicious. My husband who is not on a gluten free diet also enjoyed all of his meals. He said the carrot cake was the best he’s had.

This restaurant came highly recommended by the staff at the motel where we stayed, and boy were they right! Really good food at a VERY good price, top notch and attentive servers, fast service and a very nice ambience. My husband got the Swedish pancakes, which came with a ton of lingonberries, not the expected sprinkling, just as one example. I would have to struggle to come up with anything negative to say about them the only thing I can say is I wish they opened earlier. 8:00 is late for many people, but well worth the wait. Run, don't walk there!

This place was homey and welcoming and we loved it! There were so many different kinds of pies offered! We had lunch and enjoyed clam chowder and an omelet, both of which were hearty and tasty. My friend had a piece of the marionberry pie. It was the first time she'd tried anything marionberry, but not the last! She tried it just about everywhere we went after that. We passed through here on another travel day and wanted to dine again, but it was after hours. Next time I'm on the coast, I'm definitely eating here again! Great food and friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere.

Eggs Benedict? NOT! So, I hate leaving low rating reviews. But there are times when it 's necessary. This morning I met a friend at the Chalet. I ordered Eggs Benedict. Now, in my 65 years, I 've ordered this as a breakfast choice all over the world. It 's usually always the same for standard benedict....poached eggs, atop Canadian bacon, on an english muffin, with Hollandaise sauce. What did I get at Chalet? 2 over easy eggs on top of deli sliced ham; yes there was an english muffin, but the Hollandaise sauce barely covered the eggs. Without a doubt the worst Eggs Benedict I 've ever had.
