Nix - Carta

Es hat ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Das Personal war freundlich und das Lokal ist hübsch. Es war ein Anlass mit einer Degustation von Weinen. Hervorragend!

My wife and I had dinner at this cozy restaurant down by the river. I had a personal size pizza that could have easily fed the both of us. Great Swiss style pizza with a fantastic thin crust. My wife had a pasta that was superb. If it hadn't been raining, we would have certainly eaten outside right next to the River Ruess.

Heute wollten wir nach dem Shoppen etwas im Nix's in der Laterne trinken. Unsere Kinder hatten noch ein Soft-Ice in der Hand. Kaum am Tisch - wohl gemerkt, die Gartenbeiz war fast leer - wurden wir wegen der Glace aus dem Restaurant gewiesen. Begründung: " Bei uns gibt es auch Eis." Tja, wenn mans nicht nötig hat ... Das Lokal ist sehr schön gelegen an der Reuss. Die Zutaten für Flammkuchen oder Salate darf man auch selber zusammenstellen. Diese waren sehr lecker und preislich okey. Das Preisniveau der anderen Speisen fand ich eher hoch. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir waren als 10er Gruppe unterwegs und erhielten das Essen alle zur gleichen Zeit.

Came upon this place w/o a reservation on a Saturday evening and they made room for us. Owner brought over the extensive menu of the day and took time explaining it and made recommendations for accompanying beverages. Appetizers, entrees and craft beers were wonderful and...portions were generous. Not cheap, but not out of line with USA prices. Very highly recommend!

Nope, with all the other cafes, the service is literally not there for this location. It's right along the canal and has inviting chairs. There's even blankets to ward of the chill. Our waitress simply didn't want to wait on us. It was the mid afternoon and no where near closing time. We wanted a light bite and she said there was no such thing. We never saw a menu. We ordered our respective beer (for him) and cappuccino (for me). We had to search someone down to pay our bill. They don't care about you or your money. Ver carta

The service was appalling. We had to endure the passive aggressive behaviour of the red head waitress, who continuously glared down at us because we were served a dish that contained pork, (which we had told them in advance to avoid). She told us to just put it to the side, and when we insisted that it needed to be changed, the owner (I believe) kindly intervened. We had to ask for the check 4 times, but again, she deliberately delayed and gave us dirty looks. Again, another waitress had to intervene. Lucerne is a beautiful city with plenty of other restaurants to visit than this one.

The first waiter was friendly and nice. The other one, blond-red hair, while serving the food spilled the water on the entire table, getting my pants completely wet. Not even a sorry, and pretty arrogant during the rest of the dinner when we asked for...another empty plate, using an aggressive tone... of course, in the end we got the water (6.9CHF) water charged. I make her notice she spilled that water so why should we paid that, and her reaction was again arrogant while removing it from the bill don 't you want to pay the water? Fine! . I felt with just a sorry, a smile and not putting that on the bill my experience could be better, since we all know this kind of things can happen, however...

this wonderful food for thoughts is right in the learning city next to the sea lucern. the restraunt has a basic philosophy of slow food, which means that its menu is tailor-made after seasonal local production of materials. from vegetables to meat from crumbles like saffron everything is locally grown and used. they will never find a consistent menu. we ordered pizza with cheese bevel and garlic a divine crack that would melt in the mouth and they will leave with garlic beer. next we ordered a sweet art a torte, which was served with sauce, made in a puff baked. amazingly taste a crunchy and a soft bite at the end. we also ordered fresh local fish with potatoes. the fish was delicate juice...
