Peking Chinese - Carta

I look forward to visiting Harwich just to have a meal from here, its the first thing i do when i arrive.

Worse food I have ever tasted all burnt think I just look elsewhere would never use again just thrown all of it in bin

On a miserable night we couldn't face going to to find somewhere to eat so ordered a takeaway. Delivery was swift and friendly. We ordered a chow mein which was excellent as was crispy chilli beef.

I used to live in Harwich many years ago, returned to visit family and thought I would visit my old favourite restaurant as it’s still here. I wasn’t disappointed, great service, very friendly, and the food was gorgeous. Defo recommend it

Food always very nice for here when we have visited. Been there to sit in a couple of times and over all was not a bad chinese. Couple time they forgot drink on delivery but rectified it with in the hour or ideal.. But we are all human and make mistakes... Ver carta

Used this whilst traveling through, chosen on the strength of the reviews. Good choice. Food was quickly prepared. Arrived hot, was fresh and very tasty. Menu is traditional with many familiar favourites on there. We had a really good meal and would recommend. A good, solid dependable take away. No eating in at the moment but I wouldn’t hesitate to go in.

Went in here one evening with my wife and we were apprehensive when no one else was there. As we both fancied a Chinese meal and there is not much choice In Harwich we thought we would give it a go thinking others would maybe come later. We both had soup and I had a special chow mien with my wife having another noodle dish. Service was very good as was the food and I would recommend this place. It could have done with a bit of atmosphere but it was fairly early, a Monday and out of season.

in general Harwich takeaways are not good only place that’s good is the Turkish kebab. As for Chinese all the shops are not very good at all, but the peking always seemed to be a reasonable meal, not great but will do. Tonight’s order was probably by far the worst Chinese I have experienced. Chips was so dry and burnt (no potato left in them). Chicken balls was sloppy. Chowmein was not what. I called Singapore a couple of raw chillis lobbed on top with dry rock hard meat and cooked frozen prawns. Chilli beef was chewy and soggy. All in all a diss appointment. I was to scared to call them incase they wanted to send me some more food. Deffo won’t be eating Chinese from Harwich again. Ver carta
