"Stumbled across this after using the app to try to find a restaurant . Looks basic from outside but we took a chance and went in. First night we went , very quiet and initially the place was full of smoke, adding a rustic charm to the surroundings . Smiling faces chomping away gave a clue that food good. Friendly service followed . The patron works in an open kitchen at the end of the restaurant next to the jewel in the crown ...the wood fired oven. We ordered pizza ...of course. But there are classic Savoyarde dishes also ...i.e. Cheese in bowls type stuff. Wife no fan of pizza. Ordered a Four Seasons which due to the seriously hot furnace like oven , came quite quickly. As did my chorizo one. Immediately one sees why this is a highly rated pizza. None of your regimented perfectly round pies . These were roundish , had a wonderful light crisp base. Toppings plentiful but not so as to drown the flavours of the base. Wife declared the Four Seasons to be " The best pizza she has ever tasted " anywhere. ! What an accolade . Couldn't agree more. My meaty pizza was fabulous. Taste was super and the base is so light , really not one of those where you can't finish . So overall and excellent pizzeria . Ended up going twice.....would have been three nights on the trot but one night it was closed.....and on the second night a party of twenty locals took table behind us, so that's validation . We did see some of the traditional Savoyarde dishes and they looked great. Must be difficult to get table in high season, it was popular enough in low season. Go, you won't be disappointed."

We were on the outside, which was kind of fun. The pizza was really good and more than enough, we took two pizzas for three people, and that wasn't a problem.

we go to casanova to each of our Grandbo passages and chef's pizzas are always excellent and always as warm welcome. fondues and other dishes of the day are not left. a note, proposed fondues for 1 person; appreciable. special mention for pizza with fresh foie gras

small-capacity establishment when the terrace is not usable ( bad weather.) very nice reception. An element that doesn't deceive: many regulars...Pizza with fine paste, well garnished and tasteful; fresh and well prepared salad; pleasant desserts a good address that deserves to be known. Ver carta

we went to this restaurant in a couple on April 24th or 80% of the restaurants in the city were closed. The cook and waitress had about ten people to manage. We took the marmiton on the map.All was perfect: copious and very good / friendliness of the waitress / time of service / producer wine / tea price and coffee reasonable. We recommend.

I had not returned to this restaurant since December 2011 during my last holiday in the Grand-Bornand. It's with enthusiasm that I've been there this year and I haven't been disappointed yet! I found the same taste that a few years ago. sophie is always as welcoming, smiling, arranging! The people who accompanied me, have been the same as month!live my next vacation there!

"Found this little place having walked away from one of those dreadful restaurants, where you arrive and the place is empty, and the snotty receptionist asks 'do you have a reservation? ' Instant put off in this day and age. So we walked. I treated a friend to supper, as she is going through a tough time, and it was the perfect choice. One tip, don 't be seduced by the first photo with the fire. We actually didn 't dress as warmly as we might have because we thought a fire in a small restaurant would be too hot. There isn 't one. But it is still lovely. Just dress with layers. The food menu is not large but it is really interesting and I have to say the food was fresh and a mixture of healthy, modern and delicious. The wine menu is also very good with something for everyone. The service was brilliant and the chap was so lovely and friendly he even told me my broken french was really good; Bless him. Left him a big tip. So to start, I had ceviche of three fish salmon, trout and (I should remember but don 't ; but it was exquisite see the photo. My friend had fresh home made butternut squash soup which was delicious as I helped her finish it off. For mains Sue had Tartiflette al la anciene (without cream and meat and had a small plank of ham as an accompaniement. I opted for a salad with chicken livers which wsa delicious. We shared a chef special for pud Coque aux Fruits which was like a think chocolate cup filled with exotic fruit and lime and it was really scrummy. Will def go back. Would probably share a starter as well as pud as they are a good size."
