We had a very pleasant dinner here while we were camping in the area. The dining room is spacious and the staff were very happy for our 2 dogs to lay near our table. Staff were attentive and the food was very good. The place had a hotel dining feel to it, which was a nice atmosphere.

Typical pub fare is offered at this restaurant. They offer gluten free buns for their burgers and have menu items that are labeled gluten free or can be prepared that way upon request. While the chips are not fried in a separate fryer, they happily substituted them with boiled potatoes.

I went to this restaurant yesterday with a group of my girlfriends. We all ordered the roast dinner and it was absolutely fantastic! The portions were generous and the food was delicious. I saw that the reviews were mixed online, but personally, I thought it was one of the best roast dinners I have ever had. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was laid-back. If I ever find myself in Bala again, I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

Today had an excellent lunch with a friend our chicken dish included a number of unusual elements, all impeccably cooked and attractively presented without question an exceptionally high standard of cuisine. The desserts included a delicious chocolate concoction and a tiramisu not only beautifully balanced but also enormous (brought half of it home! The young waiters were solicitous and helpful, and highly professional. We travelled 30miles each way and will do so regularly from now on. A real pleasure and extremely high value for money as well!

Can't even describe how awful we're our meals. I've ordered bacon brie sandwich, my partner had roast beef sandwich. Both came cold. My sandwich included boiled ,pale looking yup bacon which wasn't even warm. That bacon was never warm as brie wasn't even melting. The sandwich was served with some side beet salad. I've had 2 bites but that tasted vile so I left it. My partner said his sandwich was disgusting and awfully cold , he left his too. For that kind of money you would expect to have some meat loaded delight sandwich but instead we've had something made but someone who never been in kitchen ? You should be ashamed for serving it to people. 8

I would not recommend this restaurant. I chose to dine here after the highly recommended White Lion served no gluten-free options at all. Plas Yn Dre initially seemed promising as they were knowledgeable about coeliac disease and assured me that I could have any burger or sandwich on the menu. However, when I tried to order my burger, I was told I could only have the plain burger. Additionally, my brother overheard someone (possibly the manager) saying that having gluten-free options was inconvenient. I ended up ordering the BBQ chicken sandwich, but later experienced symptoms of gluten ingestion, indicating that there may have been undeclared gluten in my meal. Overall, I would not recommen...

I moved to Shropshire in 2021 and think this is the best meal I've had since that move. Simply superb food and we will be back. Great friendly pub with a great atmosphere, every table taken on a Monday night, friendly and helpful and attentive staff and every dish that was served to the three of our family looked superb and tasted great. Scallops cooked properly, Halimi ditto. Duck main course wouldn't have looked out of place in a white tablecloth restaurant. And the prices seemed so reasonable. Me and a few friends had travelled to Bala lake for a nice day out, we walked into Bala centre to find somewhere for food and drink around 4pm. This was the first place we crossed, so we went in and waited by the sign where it said ‘wait to be seated’. We saw people sat outside with finished plates so we thought they’ll be serving food.
