Just moved to the area and this is by the best local pub we've been to so far... Really good roast for a great price, nice decor and very friendly staff who weren't too much. Will definitely go back!

First time visiting platform 1 with my elderly parents for Sunday lunch. The staff couldn't have been more attentive and caring. The food was absolutely scrumptious, 4 completely empty plates it was sooooo good. We will definitely be coming here again Ver carta

Very nice and welcoming pub/restaurant. Staff made us feel very welcome and we were looked after throughout our visit. The food was amazing, definitely had that homemade taste and appearance. Would highly recommend and if in the area again I would re-visit

We absolutely love platform one and have come in as a couple for quiz night, and with friends on a Friday night for the live music. The staff are lovely, super friendly and always putting on lots of entertainment. The pub quiz on a Wednesday is brilliant and the Friday night live music is even better. Fantastic !!! We came in on a Saturday afternoon for a quick drink and saw the food being served looked good so we returned on the Sunday, So glad we did! Great ending to a lovely weekend for us. We ordered two of the platform 1 burgers with some additional peppercorn sauce. Compliments to the chefs as the food was great !! Clearly homemade and very fresh. The staff are all very smart with nice uniform and appear to be confidant on the bar which is always as plus! The pub has a nice atmosphere and is very clean. Well done to whoever has taken this place over recently ! : D

We have been looking for a local pub in our area for months and Platform One is now our FAVOURITE watering hole. Reasons for this are the staff go above and beyond to cater to all of your needs. They are friendly, warm and welcoming. The food is second to none and we are now regulars. They allow dogs which is an added bonus as we hate to leave our little sausage at home. The landlady is an undeniable asset to the establishment. They have a fortnightly quiz night which is fun and is catered to all abilities. If you want a bit more of lively setting then Friday nights are fantastic as they often have performances from local singers which sets a fantastic vibe. I cannot recommend Platform One e...

We had booked a large party and had to pre order our food for the kitchen. We was part of an event and only had a certain amount of time before we had to be back. A few days before we rang and spoke to the supervisor K y who confirmed that we could move our reservation from 3:30 to 3pm. Once seated we waited an hour for food to arrive. After several conversations with staff that we needed to be back for 4:30 and all food was preordered we kept getting similar responses of plating up now, I’ll go check with the kitchen. Once the food began to arrive at 4:10pm it looked rushed and several dishes were burnt and one child’s meal had not been made. My Yorkshire pudding tasted like just batter, ro... Ver carta
